The purpose of the present study was to identify the regular school teacher's perception of the resources and strategies to teach handicapped children and the relationships between the teaching and learning of this student when inserted in the classroom. Sixty-eight teachers in the city of Marilia who had handicapped children inserted in their classrooms participated in the study.
