Václav Havel: "Žebrácká opera" - komplexní kostýmní řešení / VÁCLAV HAVEL: "THA BEGGAR'S OPERA" - Costume Research and Design

Šárková, Kamila January 2015 (has links)
The following text concerns itself with the comprehensive research and design of costumes for The Beggar's Opera by Václav Havel. The author of this thesis presents her historical and theoretical research, the development of her creative concept and final designs. The play was written in the 1970s, when Havel was reacting critically to the current situation in his home country. To make this social criticism up to date, the author imagined doing a production of this play at a cafe in a small town, and sourcing inspiration for the designs of the individual character types from observing modern small town mentality. The text is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part concerns itself with the history of the play, studies past productions, and examines Havel's approach to theatre. In the practical part we can follow the development of the design concept, including analyses of the individual characters and the sources of inspiration used. Descriptions of the final designs are supported by images.

Rekonstrukce letištní bezpečnosti: produkce bezpečnosti perspektivou Actor-network teorie / Reassembling Airport Security: An Actor-Network Theory Account of Security Production

Komasová, Sarah January 2019 (has links)
Airport security represents a crucial part of civil aviation worldwide. Due to its substantial impact upon millions of passengers daily, it is bound to provoke questions about proportionality and sufficiency. Drawing on the insights from Actor-network Theory (ANT) and a medium- term field research at Václav Havel Airport Prague, which entailed a mix of qualitative-oriented research methods from participant observation to interviews, this thesis examines the nature and production of airport security as a network of chains of translation. These chains turn or translate according to their own logics of veridiction of all incoming actants, both human and non-human, from an insecure status to a secure one. In their translation, they are guided by three respective logics of division, movement and visibility, which have already been identified in previous studies of airport security. Going beyond the existing state of the art, this thesis specifically inquires into the components of chains of translation, particularly the airport security technologies and their interactions with humans, and focuses on instances where either of these logics or the veridiction logics, intersect, thus disclosing their own nature and presence. Furthermore, this thesis identifies spatiality and identity as two complementary...

Organizovaná občanská společnost z pohledu Václava Havla, Václava Klause a Miloše Zemana. / Organized Civil Society from the Perspective of Vaclav Havel, Vaclav Klaus and Milos Zeman.

Simon, Filip January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to compare the concept of the civil society and the attitudes towards it, as understood by Vaclav Havel, Vaclav Klaus and Milos Zeman. Furthermore, the thesis examines the evolutions of their attitudes and their particular actions within the organized civil society. The comparison is carried out using available materials and relevant existing works by authors expertizing in the authors' political legacy. The first part introduces basic terms and three crucial phases in the development of Czech civil society. The second part critically analyses the authors' attitude to organized civil society. Comparison findings suggest that their concept of civil society does not concur: their attitude to influential organizations of civil society varies, yet a certain agreement is apparent in their support of voluntary activities of various interest groups.

Přínos Olgy Havlové pro nové přístupy k lidem se znevýhodněním / Olga Havel contribution to assisting and caring for people with disabilities

Hons, Jindřich January 2020 (has links)
My diploma thesis named " Olga Havel contribution to assisting and caring for people with disabilities" analyzes information from various testimonies, media sources or literary sources and aims to provide the reader with the most realistic picture that could portray Mrs. Olga Havel. My research follows the legacy of Olga Havel that she left in the field of care for people with disabilities. The main intention is to observe her ingress to disadvantaged people. On top of that, I wanted to highlight how her personality and her social role as the first lady in the Czech Republic shaped approaches to the people in the Czechoslovak Republic before year 1989 and also in the time period after the Velvet revolution. The practical part was based on the processing of the results of qualitative research carried out in the form of interviews as well as information taken from related literature. The main qualitative method, for processing data, is called "oral history" and it is based on interviews. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Therefore, there is used description of the historical period with analysis of texts in three newspapers, called Rude Právo, Mladá Fronta and Lidová Demokracie. The objective of the work is collection of texts of the newspapers in mentioned period and demonstration of typical discrediting text. First of all, there is pointed what it means "dissent". There are described groups and people, who were connected with these activities. Secondly, there is shown special cause about lawsuit with Václav Havel and Tomáš Řezáč. The perspective is focused on exceptional and special action which was linked with discrediting texts and official law. After that are summarized aspects and significance of discrediting texts. There is hope that this thesis dispels the complex problem of discrediting texts, and that the case for ideology developed through media is clear.

"Co je to Já? Ivan Havel? To je jméno, to nejsem já." Biografie Ivana M. Havla / "What is I? Ivan Havel? That is a name, not who I am." Biography of Ivan M. Havel

Markupová, Jana January 2014 (has links)
This master's degree thesis, adhering to the genre of contemporary history studies, depicts the lifestory of Ivan M. Havel. Theoretically it is grounded in personalism, especially regarding to works of Ch. Mounier and M. Scheler and establishes as the primary point of reference the phenomena of individual personality, uniquely embedded into the surrounding social world. From this basic tenet the explanation is built towards the understanding of general categories, using the contexts and traditions, in which the personality had been engulfed. This thesis makes use of both oral history method and archival sources and documents study. Ivan M. Havel can be understood within enduring context of his family's intellectual, civic, political and entrepreneurial tradition, where several specific phenomena stand out. First the non-partisan spirituality, second the emphasis, laid of socially responsible conduct of business; third the stress, laid on achieving broad education, going beyond established domains and disciplines and fourth the sociability, spanning over all of these attributes. Ivan M. Havel's biography is therefore traced mainly within the period up to the 1989 year, since the childhood, deeply influenced by his grandfather H. Vavrečka, through his coming of age, spent close to the Šestatřicátníci literary...
