Trends in "Green" Design - making ground source heat pumps the system of choice

Hasler, Fred L. January 1900 (has links)
Master of Science / Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science / Charles L. Burton / Ground source heat pump systems have been around for nearly 50 years. The efficiencies that can be achieved today are difficult to match with any other type of heating and air conditioning system. With the familiarity of the system, installed costs have become very reasonable, and in some cases have been the same or less expensive than other comparable systems. Given all this, the question remains – why aren't more of these systems being proposed and installed? This report will investigate some of the reasons why and what can be done to remedy them. Major issues include professional education, availability of research and design material, industry or governmental incentives, and education in our K-12 schools and universities. Certainly all participants in the design process, from the designer to the owner, play a part in this dilemma. Recommendations will be made that address key hurdles this industry faces regarding making ground source heat pumps the system of choice.

Gyvenamojo namo šildymo ir vėdinimo sistemos kompiuterinio valdymo modelio sudarymas ir tyrimas naudojant Petri tinklą / Modeling and analysis of house heating and cooling computer control system using Petri nets

Kriščiūnas, Darius 22 May 2005 (has links)
Presently information systems are increasingly penetrating to our daily life. Recently it is relevant to integrate the newest technologies. In that way traditional system becomes “smart” who are more economical, optimal, and self-sufficient. The biggest problem is to make a model of “smart” system. There were analyzed modeling methods, heating and cooling control systems in this job. Mathematical model for heating and cooling controller using timed Petri nets was presented. According to analyzed problems it was made verification with Matlab during experimental phase. There was made comparison evaluation of mathematical model made with timed Petri nets and fuzzy logic.

Systémy vytápění a chlazení v kancelářských provozech / Heating and cooling systems in office operations

Dostál, Petr January 2020 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the heating and cooling system, inclu-ding hot water preparation for the administrative part of the production hall. The first part of the thesis briefly discusses the history of heating and cooling of office buildings, legislative requirements and current solutions. The second part contains the design of the entire heating and cooling system with heat pump as a source of heat and cold. The final part of the thesis describes the experimental measure-ment and evaluation of the efficiency of the ice rink source.

Velkoplošné systémy pro vytápění a chlazení / Heating and cooling systems

Pavlíček, Radek Unknown Date (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is large area heating and cooling systems. Theoretical part of this thesis is focused on thermal comfort of people in interier and on theoretical calculation of heat transfer and on large area heating and cooling systems. Second part is devided to two variants. First variant is design of a heating system in kindergarden with floor heating combined with plate heating radiators. Second variant is heating system with only plate heating radiators. As source of heat is used condensing gas boiler. Part of a design is preparation of hot water. Experimental part of the thesis contains measurements of coefficient of heat transfer in floor heating and wall heating.
