Hladíková, Monika January 2009 (has links)
Architectonic and urbanistic concept The designed area is placed in the rural zone of the village Mikulčice and in the rural zone of the village Kopčany. This area has a big potencial in its cultural and historical values as well as in the natural ones. The connection of the pure and very original nature with a very strong historical value gives the region its very own authentic character and amplifies the experience of the visitor. This reagion was declared as a cultural heritage in 1962 and yet it is nominated to the World heritage list UNESCO. Its rich history and archeological discoveries gave an idea to built here a congress center. The congress center is situated in the natural enviroment where it presents the ruined churches and also the archeological discoveries. The goal of this project is to attract attention of the public. To enriche the knowledge of the public and to connect both sides of the river Morava by a bridge. The idea is to preserve the woods and meadows in the horizontal like region and to enter the landscape with a similar composition. The building itself is situated to the north of the ground plans of the churches, in historical path of the authentic waterway around the stronghold site. Its shape is inspired by a boat which reflects the waterway and the heritage of st.Cyril and st.Method who passed on to us the teachings of the Church. This is symbolised as large boats carrying the people to the everlasting salvation. The topic of the „path“ reminds us of our pilgrimage through the neverending sea of time. The values which our ancestors passed on to us and which we will pass on to our children. The bridge which overcomes this building can be a notional connection beetween the history and the present days. These are undoubtedly linked together and we should not forget it.

Sadílková, Helena January 2016 (has links)
This thesis is concentrated on the topic of the post-war migration of Roms from Slovakia to the Czech Lands as the crucial process in the post-war history of Roms on the territory of former Czechoslovakia which had its effects not only on individual groups of Roms living in Slovakia and migrating to the Czech Lands, but also on the next developments in the relations of the Czech majority society towards the Roms and changes in the approach to them on the side of central state institutions. The thesis offers a presentation of a complex historic case study of post-war migration of a particular local group of Roms from south- eastern Slovakia to the city of Brno (Moravia), based on a synthetic research method combining both oral history and written sources of mostly regional provenience. The author has applied the method in two different contexts: while reconstructing the developments in the situation of the group of Roms and their relations with the majority society in Slovakia during 1920' to 1970's, and while mapping the post-war migration of part of these people in relation to two localities in the Czech Lands, with one representing a transit locality of their early post-war migration and the other their final destination where this group of Roms lives still today. The author places the case study...

Štefanová, Veronika January 2016 (has links)
This dissertation introduces contemporary circus as a type of dramatic art. The work thus provides a basic framework for the analysis of contemporary circus and suggests a terminology for the designation of its specific traits. This terminology is derived first and foremost from the Czech theatre studies environment. The theoretical delineation of contemporary circus stems from selected theses from Otakar Zich's The Aesthetics of Dramatic Art and Erika Fischer-Lichte's The Transformative Power of Performance: A New Aesthetics. Contemporary circus, which is depicted as belonging to several discourses - historical, aesthetic, cultural policy and pedagogical, is described from a formal as well as content-focused point of view in order to best point out how the circus element changes and takes on meaning in relation to its theatrical counterpart. The thesis is subdivided into five parts. The introduction outlines the key theme, goals and methodology as well as terminology and theories which provide the work with a suitable point of departure. The Contemporary and Traditional Circus chapter describes the history and development of traditional as well as contemporary circus in selected countries (France, Canada, USA, Scandinavia) which are considered significant within the context of circus arts...

Jiroušek, Filip January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis, based primarily on the method of oral history, deals with selected chapters from the life of Petr Rýgr, a dissident and a person belonging to the circle of parallel culture. It is conceived as an episodic biography, while in the course of the research it follows the topic of the desire for a free life in a represive regime. The time limit corresponds to the period, called as "normalization" in socialist Czechoslovakia. The work captures the life of a dissident on a regional scale, on the border of the districts of Trutnov and Náchod. Rýgr's life is viewed in the text from several perspectives, primarily the self-concept of the protagonist, the view of his friends, and then the view of the author of the work based on the interpretation of interviews and the study of written sources. The individual chapters deal with Rýgr's adolescence, the possible degree of formation by opinion authorities, Václav Havel or Jaroslav Foglar, as well as life in a parallel, unofficial world, the issue of work duty or the October 1989 event when Petr Rýgr sent an advertisement to Rudé právo congratulating Václav Havel alias Ferdinand Vaňek on his birthday. In the 17th century, an independent Bohemian province was established and Saint Thomas monastery became a natural centre of it. This diploma thesis aims to provide an overview of a history of library and to introduce significant members of Augustinian order, who contributed to development (in time of prosperity) of library.
