The purpose of this essay is to examine how the newspaper Södermanlands Nyheter reported about nuclear bombing on Japan between August 6-20 1945. The survey is conducted by analyzing how the newspaper presents the subject through framing theory and a ”innehållsanalys” consisting a quality and a quantity part. It concluded that the reports were most numerous in conjunction with the bombing and then gradually decreased. The newspaper highlighted nuclear weapons as something terrifying and dangerous that had to be controlled. No party politicial control could be discovered.

The massacre in refugeecamps Sabra and Shatila got some huge newsworth in the Swedish press. The exact number of victims is hard to estimate since different organisations comes with different information. I want to investigate more into how the two biggestdaily newspapers in Sweden, better known as Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet reported on the crimes the happened in the Lebanese refugeecamps from a journalistic point of view.

Fredika Bremerförbundets huvudsakliga fokus kring vilka jämställdhetsfrågor som var viktigast imedia under respektive nedslagsår förändras över tid men kretsar i huvudsak kring kvinnans roller i yrkeslivet. 1979 ifrågasätts ökningen av deltidsarbete alltmer. Många kvinnor fastnar i dubbelarbete mellan hem och jobb när barnomsorgen inte tillgodoses fullt ut och männen inte börjat dela ansvar för hushållet. Förbundet har en revolterande och oppositionell framtoning i sin argumentation i Hertha än under 1994 då jämställdheten kommit en bit längre på väg med framgångar i årets val och lagen om delad makt och delat som börjat tillämpas. FBF:s största fråga är alltjämt kvinnor på arbetsmarknaden men riktas mer mot att få fler att lämna den offentliga sektorn och närma sig högre positioner inom näringslivet. De uppmuntras även att ta plats i yrken där männen var högre representerade. I SR och SVT tillfrågas och medverkar representanter för förbundet i ett brett spektrum av frågor men de flesta kretsar kring jämställdhet med kvinnan som utgångspunkt. Argumentationstekniken varierar beroende på motpart. Kvinnor bemöter varandra i avslappnat samförstånd och män i högre grad med statistik och fakta. Sammantaget är kvinnor till stor del under perioden exkluderade från många positioner i samhället och många håller nog med om att relevanta och omfattande kvinnliga perspektiv saknas hos beslutsfattarna. FBF bidrog i viss mån till en mer jämlik samhällsstruktur via sin rapportering, sina insatser och kunskaper om jämställdhet både i Hertha och i tv och radio,Att media intresserade sig av förbundets åsikter kan ha varit i samklang med de politiska roller som flera av representanterna hade och var troligtvis en god taktik av medlemmarna i FBF för att samtidigt få gehör i jämställdhetsfrågorna.

In this bachelor thesis I aim to understand the meaning of horses in relation to humans in the late palaeolithic era. In this study I have chosen these four caves: Lascaux, Pech Merle, Chauvet and Altamira because of their contents of horse paintings. The paintings of horses are compared to palaeolithic horse figurines. The theories evaluated in this study regard shamanism, imitative magic, totemism, animism, art for art's sake and art as an expression for complex socities. The results are that these theories do not explain the meaning of all cave art and figurines. The art differs from cave to cave and can differ in the same cave as well. Some of the paintings of horses are not done in a realistic way unlike the horse figurines. The biggest difference between horse paintings in caves and horse figurines in the late palaeolithic era is that caves was something people could visit in groups, while figurines could be carried and used as something personal.
