In addition, it portrays the exportations of leather to Portugal, their consequences in the Captaincy of Pernambuco and the businessmen involved in the trade and manufacturing of that product. In order to accomplish this work, manuscripts of Arquivo Hist?rico Ultramarino (Ultramarine Historical Archives), colonial narratives and maps of the mercantile loads have been used so that one can visualize that the manufacturing of leather and other products have provided a social and economical connection among Pernambuco, Recife as trade center, Olinda as administrative municipality and Portugal / Neste trabalho, s?o analisadas as rela??es econ?micas no interior da Am?rica Portuguesa, mais especificamente na Capitania Pernambuco do s?culo XVIII, enfocando a discuss?o sobre centro-periferia, inserido no contexto da hist?ria colonial. Com isso, pretende-se estudar as exporta??es de couro para Portugal, suas conseq??ncias na Capitania de Pernambuco e a atua??o dos homens de neg?cio envolvidos no com?rcio e na produ??o dessa manufatura. Para tal empreitada foram utilizados os manuscritos do Arquivo Hist?rico Ultramarino, cronistas da ?poca e, sobretudo, mapas de carga mercantil para visualizar que a fabrica??o da manufatura do couro, bem como de outros produtos, proporcionaram uma conex?o econ?mica e social entre o sert?o de Pernambuco, Recife como pra?a de com?rcio, Olinda como centro administrativo Portugal
