The task of the study was to characterize the financial analysis, indicate the importance for decision making in business, to characterize the cash flow for financial analysis. Thus characterized by the analysis was performed on a real business, where they were enumerated various ratios: profitability, liquidity, debt, activities and indicators based on cash flow. Furthermore, the position expressed by the company against competitors, and some reputable and bankruptcy models.

The diploma thesis is focused on the financial analysis of Unilever ČR s.r.o., which operates on FMCG market and specialize in consumer and cosmetic goods. The goal of this thesis is to identify weaknesses of financial management of the company from year 2008 until the year 2015 from the external analyst point of view. The output of this thesis are recommendations for better financial situation in the future period of time. Implementation of traditional and modern financial analysis tools is based on research of specialized literature. Traditional methods include analysis of balance rules, horizontal and vertical analysis, analysis of ratio indicators, analysis of differential indicators and pyramidal decomposition. The diagnosis of the financial situation and prediction of future of the company is implemented by the usage of creditworthy and bankruptcy models. A more modern point of view into problematic brings the usage of analysis of economic value added and usage of Spider analysis for comparison with market leaders. The source of information for practical part are annual reports, which are available for public on an online server provided by the Ministry of Justice.

The diploma thesis aims on financial analysis of the company UniCredit Bank, Inc. in period of year 2012 to 2015 focusing mainly on comparison of its finacial results with previously selected groups of banks. Firstly, the principle of financial analysis and its purpose is stated with particular financial indicators being described. Secondly, basic information about the UniCredit Bank Inc. are given combined with analysis of banking industry as a whole throughout the period. The third main part provides the individual financial analysis of UniCredit Bank Inc. that is compared with statistical data of banking industry and the group of big banks. The results are graphically processed with use of Spider chart for each year of the period. Lastly, the final overview of financial results of UniCredit Bank in context of chosen sectors´ data is summarized.

This thesis deals with a financial situation. Through the selected methods and indicators of the financial analysis presented in the introduction is an evaluation of the particular company Fersto, s.r.o. from the practical part. Based on the outputs of the financial analysis are then the formulated proposals to improve the economic situation of the company.

The goal of the thesis is to carry out financial performance analysis of two retail companies based on selected financial analysis tools and use its results for inter-company comparison. The theoretical section introduces selected methods of financial analysis and intercompany comparison methods which are used in the practical section to perform financial analysis of Billa and Kaufland companies. Hereby presented diploma thesis "Financial analysis of ŠKODA AUTO a.s." introduces the financial performance of the joint-stock company ŠKODA AUTO and attempts to provide with comprehensive in-depth analysis and to determine financial situation over the period from 2009 to 2013. The work comprises two main parts- theoretical and practical. The first part discusses theoretical issues related to financial analysis and establishes framework for further implementation of methodology. It involves purpose and objectives of financial analysis, resources employed to conduct research and methods and techniques, namely, horizontal and vertical analysis, financial ratios and models for financial health assessment. The second part describes company profile, industry analysis and particularly focuses on implementation of financial analysis of ŠKODA AUTO. This research is processed on the basis of financial data derived from the annual reports of the firm, which are available for public. In order to evaluate the company's performance and demonstrate its development various approaches are applied. Specifically, I will implement trend and vertical analysis of the balance sheet and the income statement, analyze the cash-flow statement and compute the following financial ratios: liquidity, profitability, activity, debt and solvency indicators. In addition, DuPont decomposition of return on equity (ROE) will be presented. Furthermore, analysis of financial health and credibility of the firm represented by the Beaver Test, Kralicek Quick Test and the Altman-score model will scrutinize the company's stability, profitability and creditworthiness as well as assess the threat of bankruptcy. In the conclusion all results of conducted financial analysis are summarized and evaluated.

The master´s thesis deals with economic and financial analysis and evaluation of the MND a.s. company using modern methods and tools. The theoretical part of the thesis contains literary research, which focused on theory associated with the economic and financial analysis. The analytical part consists of company presentation, economic and financial analysis. The final part of the thesis contains suggestions and recommendations that could improve the financial status of the company.

This master’s thesis assess the financial health of the company ORTIKA a.s. in the period of 2002 to 2006 on the basis of selected methods of the financial analysis. It includes proposals of possible solutions of identified problems which should result in the improvement of financial situation of the company in future years.
