The main aim of the thesis is to create a complete overview of particular activities of the human resources politics from the perspective of a modern corporate management. On the basis of theoretical principles developed by the HR management to assess the individual activities in the example of selected company and propose improvements in areas, in which seems deficiencies. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first part of the thesis summarizes the theoretical principles of HR management, which constitute the basis for the evaluation of the HR management in the selected company, referred in the practical part. The second chapter is devoted to the characteristics of the company, which is next featured under the fictitious name of Chemická, a.s.. The third part of the thesis presents a comprehensive view of HR management practice in the watched company. The structure of this part of the most deliberately corresponds theoretical part. Fourth part of the thesis evaluate on the basis of theoretical knowledge the real HR management in the selected company. The HR management is showing no sign of any serious failure. The activities are carried out professionally and secured by sophisticated company directives. The HR management seeks to meet both, corporate and the personal needs and goals. Chemická, a.s. respects in managing their human resources the modern approaches and strengthens so the strongest of the four pillars of business, the human resources.

The aim of this thesis is -- based on the theoretical knowledge of human resource manage-ment and theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Business Intelligence (BI) -- to design the Business Intelligence solution over the human resource management systems in the company AVG Technologies (hereinafter AVG). The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I describe methods, principles and practices of the human resource management, especially in context of employee performance management, performance evaluation and calibration. Then I focus on employee development. The next stage of the theoretical part describes functioning of the HRM (Human Resource Management) sys-tems. The functionality is explained by description of the systems used in the AVG. At the end of the theoretical part I mention some specifics of BI solutions for HRM systems. In the practical part I describe the creation of the BI solution. This part begins with the analysis in which -- based on the theoretical knowledge and analysis of the AVG's needs and requirements -- I define the actual assignment for the BI solution implementation pro-ject. Then I describe other analysis and implementation steps leading to the creation of the complete BI solution. In the conclusion I evaluate the achievement of the objectives and also real benefits of the solution for the AVG. I also define the suggestions and recommendations for further de-velopment of this solution.

The research itself, its results and subsequent recommendations for HR professionals are described in the practical part of the thesis. First, the key challenges in human resource management are identified and characterized. These challenges are subjected to qualitative and quantitative researches and then the results are compared to Europe-wide survey by The Boston Consulting Group. The final chapter gives practical recommendations to HR professionals and executive managers how to work with the most key HR challenges so that HR professionals are treated as the business partners and the future competitiveness of a company in the market is ensured.

This thesis deals with the issue of job and working conditions in British call centers located in the third world countries (understood in developing countries and countries of the former Soviet Union). The aim of this thesis is to analyze the existing job opportunities and working conditions and the applied principles and practices of human resource management and marketing in the call center of the British International company Cupid plc in Ukrainian city Dnepropetrovsk, identify the problems and suggest solutions. The thesis is divided into eight chapters: organizing (explains the essence of organizing and classifies the types of organizational structures), call center (describes the traditional call center model, modern trends and problems in call centers), international company (explains the philosophy and strategy of companies at the international market); the third world countries (defines and characterizes the problems of the third world countries), human resource management of the international company (defines and explains the strategy, policies and practices of human resources management of the international company); marketing of the international company (defines and explains the strategy, policies and procedures of customer relationship management of the international firms); call centers of the international companies in the third world countries (gives examples of the activities and problems of British call centers in India, Pakistan and the Philippines); British call center in Ukraine (analyzes specific British call center of the international company in Ukrainian city Dnepropetrovsk). Doctoral thesis deals with the performance management in drama theatre and musical theatre sphere. The dissertation aims to create a model of performance management for the sphere as a problem solving tool related to the performance management during the rehearsal period. The paper is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. Theoretical part deals with current trends and methods, problems and challenges of HR Management, evolving role of HR professionals and issue of performance management in general. Furthermore, the part deals with management of the cultural sector, human resources management in a theatre, activities of the rehearsal period and with performance in the drama theatre and musical theatre sphere. Empirical part comprises an analysis of the qualitative research, design of the performance management model and model verification via expert estimates. Important findings (such as activities significant for the performance management in the drama theatre and musical theatre sphere, the most common problems of the performance management in the sphere and their solution proposals etc.) are summarized in the conclusion of the doctoral thesis.

This thesis deals with the issue of human resource management and it is focused on a general description of HR processes of recruitment and selection of staff. It also captures the essence of the recruitment and selection of employees, and identifies conditions that must be observed for making this system is effective. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part, there are defined the keywords and described the processes and methods of recruitment and selection of employees. In the second, the practical part, there is introduced company X, the structure of its employees and the system of recruitment and selection of employees, which is established in the company. The system is at this place analyzed and compared with the generally accepted theoretical principles. With the questionnaire survey there is also examined satisfaction of employees with the company's process of recruitment and selection of staff. In conclusion of the thesis, the system of recruitment and selection of employees is appraised and there are highlighted its strengths and proposed measures for its improvement.

The Master thesis The project of selecting the human resources information system presented on the particular example is focused on the selection of a suitable personnel information system (PIS) for Jan Becher Karlovarská Becherovka a.s. company (Jan Becher). The main objective of this thesis is decide upon the best supplier of the PIS whose offer will be the most suitable for the requirements specified by Jan Becher company. In order to achieve this main objective of the thesis, there are the following targets. The first one, and most important, is to analyze and comprehend the way the human resources activities are currently being done. Based on the analysis the system's functional requirements will be specified. In addition to this, the selection criteria and desired target conditions will be set up. The second one is to carry out an IT focused research. This is done in order to address potential suppliers and obtain and assess the given quotations. Thereafter, the decision on the most suitable supplier of PIS for Jan Becher will be taken. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is to define terms such as human resources evidence, human resources information system and a model of selecting and deploying PIS. In the practical part the company Jan Becher is introduced. Subsequently, the reasons laeding the company to a change in the current PIS are listed. Especially this part is focused on the analysis of the current situation in the company, market analysis of the information and communication technologies, assessment of the quotations and selection of the suppliers of PIS for the Jan Becher company.
