O livro a partir do qual serão desenvolvidas tais reflexões intitula-se Mongólia (2003), do jornalista e escritor Bernardo Carvalho, e apresenta constituição estético-temática que permite e inspira as reflexões referidas, bem como suscita investigações sobre procedimentos freqüentemente associados à cultura pósmoderna como, por exemplo, identidades cambiantes e o afastamento em relação aos impulsos totalizadores que caracterizam a modernidade. Através de fundamentação teórica contemporânea, auferida sobretudo em Bauman, Lévi-Strauss, Abdala Junior, Derrida, Jítrik, Bakhtin, Lasch, Lipovetsky, Debord, Maffesoli, Said, Bhabha, Hutcheon, daremos relevância à mobilidade entre os gêneros literários e, conseqüentemente, às formas de representação do real. Daremos destaque também à solvência do sujeito contemporâneo, ao narcisismo e às questões ligadas às identidades cambiantes daí derivadas. Na convergência de nossos estudos, refletiremos sobre a constituição do narrador a partir da idéia de fratura, aqui compreendida como apropriação de discursos alheios, atitude reveladora de um modo de ser plural e dinâmico. / Abstract: In the present study the aim is to reflect about the hybridism of the literary genres, the solvency and decentralization of the subject, and the fracture of the narrator. The book that was the base of the present work is Mongólia (2003), by Bernardo Carvalho and presents an aesthetic theme constitution that not only allows but inspires the previously mentioned reflections, as well as it rises investigations about procedures frequently associated with the post modern culture, for instance, changing identities and the detachment towards the totalizator impulses that characterize modernity. Through theoretical fundaments, received above all in Bauman, Lévi-Strauss, Abdala Junior, Derrida, Jítrik, Bakhtin, Lasch, Lipovetsky, Debord, Maffesoli, Said, Bhabha, Hutcheon, in relevance will be given to the mobility among literary genres and, consequently, the forms of representation of the real. Highlights will also be put on the solvency of the contemporary subject, to the narcissism and to the changing identities questioning that derives from this line of thought. On the convergence of this study, there is a reflection about the constitution of the narrator starting from the fracture idea, which is understood here as the appropriation of other people's speeches and it is a revealing attitude of a plural and dynamic way of being. / Mestre

Orientador: Antonio Roberto Esteves / Banca: Tania Celestino de Macêdo / Banca: Ana Maria Domingues de Oliveira / Banca: Marcelo Magalhães Bulhões / Banca: Orna Messer Levin / Resumo: Partindo da relação entre jornalismo e literatura na obra do escritor João Antônio (1937- 1996), este estudo pretende inicialmente montar um caleidoscópio da produção do autor para jornais e revistas nacionais, enfocando contextos e tramas da sua escritura, a partir do conceito de hibridização (CANCLINI, 2003 e YOUNG, 2005). Trata-se de um processo de criação que gera uma obra híbrida que desliza em vários sentidos e, por sua vez, agrega elementos conflitantes. A experiência de narrar a partir das margens no Brasil vai determinar uma pluralidade de escritos muita vezes avessos a normas tidas como padrão, gerando assim processos de mestiçagem e transculturação nos quais o texto habita um provisório entrelugar. Também interessa-nos pensar tal pluralidade de escritos dispersos em livros, jornais e revistas como rizomas (DELEUZE & GUATARRI,1995b) que se estendem/comprimem em movimentos de multiplicidade de acordo com as circunstâncias que estão "submetidos". Assim a obra comporta vários rizomas que dialogam, convergem e divergem em linhas de fuga. Seguindo a cartografia dos movimentos das obras do escritor, pretende-se experienciar a partir de elementos textuais escolhidos no corpus como se estabelecem na prática tais estratégias de hibridação e ruptura de gêneros. Por fim, situa-se o autor e seus rizomas no amplo movimento a partir da experiência de ruptura de fronteiras, característica da modernidade e de seus desdobramentos. Assim, o nomadismo (MAFFESOLI, 2001) é uma estratégia de sobrevivência e de contestação seja ela textual ou pessoal. Não se pretende "esgotar" ou "decifrar" a obra do autor, mas se eleger temáticas que nos auxiliem a entender o literário e o jornalístico, entrelaçados no jogo do contemporâneo e seus trânsitos. / Abstract: Taking as a starting point the relation between journalism and literature on the writings of João Antonio (1937-1996), this study intends initially to build a kaleidoscope of this author's production for national newspapers and magazines, highlighting contexts and plots from his work. After that, we are going to try to draw a route in order to reflect on the question of the hybridization (CANCLINI, 2003 e YOUNG, 2005) on his work by reading texts of identity/difference. A process of creation which generates a hybrid work that slips in several directions and in turn, unites conflicting elements. The experience of narrating from the fringes of Brazil is going to determine a plurality of writings, often contrary to the rules regarded as standard, creating processes of mixing and transculturation in which texts subsists in a provisory place in between. In a third moment, we are interested in reflecting on that plurality of writings found in books, newspapers and magazines as rizoms (DELEUZE & GUATARRI, 1995b) which spread/shrink in movements of multiplicity, depending on the circumstances they are submitted to. In this way, the work allows various rizoms which dialogue, converge and diverge in escape routes. Following such cartography of movements of the author's works, we intend to experience, from the textual elements chosen from the corpus, how those hybridism strategies and gender rupture occur in practice. Finally, we place the author and his rizoms in the large movement from the experience of rupture of boundaries, which is a characteristic of modernity and its variations. Therefore, nomadism (MAFFESOLI, 2001) is a survival and a contestation strategy, no matter whether it is textual or personal. We do not intend to exhaust or decode the author's work, but to elect themes which help us understand the literary and the journalistic, entwined in the ambit of the contemporary and its transit. / Doutor
