Orientador: Cláudia Maria Ceneviva Nigro / Banca: Emerson da Cruz Inácio / Banca: Flávia Andrea Rodrigues Benfatti / Resumo: O propósito deste trabalho é o estudo da intersecção entre raça/etnia e gênero, mais especificamente identidades negras-gay masculinas, construídas a partir dos poemas de autoria de Thomas Grimes, compilados na antologia Milking Black Bull: 11 Gay Black Poets [Tirando leite de touros negros: 11 poetas negros-gay] (1995). Interessa-nos verificar como esse cruzamento de múltiplas instâncias identitárias se adensa, ganhando corpo e voz nos poemas, instigando visões mais plurais e desbravando leituras mais ajustadas da identidade negra-gay masculina, secularmente sufocada, suprimida e subjugada ao anonimato e ao ostracismo por/em uma sociedade pronunciadamente branca e cis-heteronormativa. Defendemos a hipótese de que Grimes usa a escrita de modo a revolver as raízes íntimas daqueles que carregam o peso opressor de um fardo, no mínimo, duplo: serem negros e gays; sujeitos que, hostilizados pelo racismo e pela homofobia, fazem frente ao autoritarismo agenciador de estereotipias heteronormativas e raciais, perseguindo, ao mesmo tempo, a extenuante tarefa de encontrar um chez soi, um lugar ao qual possam pertencer. As reflexões aqui propostas estão em consonância com as analíticas queer e quare e com as perspectivas críticas que concebem o sujeito como performativo e reivindicador de posições e o processo de construção identitária como um mosaico provisório. O aparato teórico sob o qual este projeto está embasado e sustentado abarca, portanto, obras como as de Bauman (2001, 2005),... / Abstract: The main focus of this work is the study of the intersection between race/ethnicity and gender, more specifically black gay male identities, forged from Thomas Grimes' poems, compiled in the anthology Milking Black Bull: 11 Gay Black Poets (1995). We are interested in verifying how this layering of multiple identities gains body and voice in the poems, inciting more pluralistic visions and exploring more accurate readings of the black gay male identities, which have been stifled, suppressed, and subjected to anonymity and ostracism by/in an overtly white and cis-heteronormative society. We defend the hypothesis that Grimes makes use of his writing in order to go through the intimate roots of those who carry the oppressive weight of an, at least, double burden: to be black and gay; subjects who, oppressed by racism and homophobia, defy the limits of racial and heteronormative hegemony in pursuit of finding a chez soi, a place where they can belong. The reflections proposed here are in line with both queer and quare analytics and the critical perspectives that conceive the subject as performative, and the process of identity construction as a provisional mosaic. O objetivo do estudo é, ao analisar o discurso de gênero e sexualidade presentes nos livros de literatura infantil sugeridos pela coleção “explorando o ensino” – no contexto das mudanças curriculares, nos anos 1990, com os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs) e as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais (DCNs) e a inclusão de temas transversais como Orientação sexual entre outros –,problematizar as representações de gênero e sexualidade nesse discurso tendo como foco as posições de sujeito. A reflexão teórica e metodológica que orienta a análise tem como referência elementos dos estudos desenvolvidos por Michel Foucault sobre as relações de poder, discurso e sexualidade e governo dos corpos; uma conceitualização e problematização advinda dos estudos feministas de Judith Butler, Guacira Louro e também a conceitualização de Stuart Hall e Tomaz Tadeu da Silva, autores que problematizam a relação entre pedagogia escolar e pedagogia cultural e representação. Trabalhamos também com estudos sobre literatura infantil, artefato cultural implicado nos discursos de produção de identidades e subjetividades multidimensionais o que nos ajudou a analisar esse artefato cultural como um lugar de enunciação sobre as identidades de gênero e de sexualidade. O estudo teve como corpora seis livros de literatura infantil selecionados na Coleção Explorando o Ensino: Literatura. Esta coleção foiorganizada para apoiar a formação de professores/as no contexto do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD) e do Programa Nacional Biblioteca da Escola (PNBE). A análise indica como o discurso de gênero e sexualidade na literatura infantil tem a função enunciativa de transmissão de valores a respeito da família, da maternidade, das posições de sujeito masculino e feminino. Há uma evidência da representação da mulher no contexto de uma sociedade patriarcarlista, delicadeza, maternidade, cuidado com o outro, responsável pela alimentação, pela higiene e saúde da família. A posição de sujeito masculino está associada ao provedor da subsistência e da segurança da família. Há ainda que ressaltar a força da família nuclear da tradição da modernidade. / This work, conducted in the Postgraduate Certificate in Education UFPE program, the core of Teacher Training and Teaching Practice, has as its object of study the discourse of gender and sexuality in children's literature. The objective of the study is, to analyze the discourse of gender and sexuality present in children's literature collection of books suggested by "exploring teaching" in the context of curriculum changes question- in the context of curricular changes in the 1990s with the National Curricular Parameters (NCPs) and the National Curricular Guidelines (NCDs) and the inclusion of cross-cutting themes such as sexual orientation among others -, problematizing the representations of gender and sexuality that speech focusing on the subject positions. The theoretical and methodological reflection that guides the analysis is referenced elements of the studies developed by Michel Foucault on power relations, speech and sexuality and government bodies; a conceptualization and questioning arising of feminist studies of Judith Butler, Guacira Laurel and also the conceptualization of Stuart Hall and Tomaz Tadeu da Silva authors that question the relationship between school pedagogy and cultural pedagogy and representation. We also work with studies of children's literature, cultural artifact implicated in identity production of discourses and subjectivities multidimensional which helped us analyze this cultural artifact as a place of enunciation on gender identity and sexuality. The study was corpora six children's literature books selected in the Collection Exploring Education: Literature. This collection was organized to support the training of teachers / in the context of the National Textbook Program (PNLD) and the National Program of School Library (PNBE). The analysis shows how the discourse of gender and sexuality in children's literature has the function expository transmission of values regarding the family, motherhood, the subject of male and female positions. There is evidence of women's representation in the context of a society patriarcarlista, delicacy, maternity, care of each other, responsible for nutrition, hygiene and the health of the family. The male subject position is linked to subsistence and family security provider. There is also that highlight the strength of the nuclear family tradition and modernity.

Neste trabalho realizamos um estudo da obra Um útero do tamanho de um punho (2012), a fim de elucidar o discurso sobre a mulher que emerge dos poemas, já indicado pelo título do livro, procurando, a partir disso, delinear as possíveis transformações na trajetória da poeta ao estabelecer diferenças e semelhanças entre esta obra e a primeira publicação, estudada na pesquisa de iniciação científica que antecedeu a presente dissertação, de modo a poder avaliar o lugar de Freitas no cenário da poesia brasileira contemporânea, em que distintas linhas de força se fazem notar. Em Um útero é do tamanho de um punho (2012), é possível perceber que a leveza do livro anterior, dá lugar a uma atmosfera mais densa, com a manutenção da ironia, para escrever sobre a mulher, evidenciando não só a visão contemporânea do sujeito feminino mas toda uma tradição que, durante séculos, reforçou rótulos que submeteram a mulher a um lugar inferior na sociedade patriarcal. A escrita de Freitas não se dá de maneira aleatória, uma vez que a poeta possui um projeto poético coeso, compreendendo a temática do diálogo com a tradição e a questão do feminino, que abraça questões de gênero e sexualidade, sempre lançando mão de referências que misturam um refinado conhecimento erudito com elementos das culturas de massa, popular brasileira e pop. Os poemas convidam o leitor a ir além da gargalhada ao final do último verso, expandindo uma leitura simples e revelando, após uma cuidadosa degustação do shake de Freitas, uma reflexão provocada por esse riso aparentemente despretensioso. O discurso sobre o feminino, entrelaçado com o... / Abstract: In her first book, Rilke Shake (2007), Angelica Freitas presents poems that show the different dictions that mark her poetry and composing the mixture of the book, resulting in a drink of tradition and modernity. In this work we carried out a study of the book Um útero é do tamanho de um punho (2012) in order to elucidate the discourse on women emerging from the poems, as indicated by the book's title, looking, from this, outline the possible changes in the poet's trajectory to establish differences and similarities between the second and the first publication, studied in my previous research leading up to this work, in order to assess the place of Freitas in the scenario of contemporary brazilian poetry, in which different power lines are remarkable. In Um útero é do tamanho de um punho (2012), it's possible to see that the lightness of the previous book, gives way to a more dense atmosphere with the maintenance of irony, to write about women, showing not only the contemporary view of feminine subject but also tradition that for centuries, reinforced labels that submitted the woman to a lower place in the patriarchal society. Freitas's writing does not happen randomly, as the poet has a cohesive poetic project, comprising the theme of dialogue with the tradition and the issue of women, which embraces issues of gender and sexuality, always making use of references mixing a refined knowledge with elements of mass culture, Brazilian and pop culture. The poems invite the reader to go beyond the laughter at the end of the last verse, expanding a simple reading and revealing, after careful tasting Freitas's shake, a reflection caused by this seemingly unassuming laughter. Padrões tradicionais vêm sendo quebrados e algumas formas de preconceito não se encaixam mais na comunidade. Hoje, muitos homens e mulheres não têm mais uma identidade única e fixa, e não configuram um par dual, e essa fragmentação das identidades de gênero possibilita a criação de ouras nomenclaturas. Com base nesse contexto de mudanças, as personagens de nosso corpus formam-se mulheres, homens, gays, lésbicas, e a construção do gênero é vista, então, como estratégia narrativa, na qual as escritoras procuram mostrar que há possibilidades para formação de gênero distinta dos padrões impostos pela matriz heteronormativa. Assim, realizamos uma análise de como essas configurações de gênero, masculinos ou femininos, são representadas na literatura, partindo da premissa de que as identidades de gênero sofrem rupturas com os modelos tradicionais e estão deslocadas, devido às diversas orientações sexuais presentes na contemporaneidade. Como corpus deste trabalho, escolhemos cinco obras, de escritoras norte-americanas, brasileiras e inglesas, a partir da década de 1970, a saber: Rubyfruit Jungle (1973), de Rita Mae Brown; The Front Runner (1974), de Patricia Nell Warren; Hotel Dulac (1984), de Anita Brookner; Duas iguais (1996), de Cíntia Moscovich e Sapato de salto (2006), de Lygia Bojunga. A configuração da identidade de gênero das personagens é analisada... / Abstract: Contemporaneity has contributed to changes in the way gender and sexuality issues are seen in society. Traditional patterns have been broken and some forms of prejudice do not fit into current society anymore. Today, some men and women have no longer a single, fixed identity, and no longer form a dual pair, and this fragmentation of gender identities makes it possible to create nomenclatures. Based on this context of change, the characters of our corpus are women, men, gays, lesbians, and the construction of gender is seen, therefore, as a narrative strategy, in which women writers try to show that there are possibilities for gender formation which differs from the patterns imposed by the heteronormative matrix. Thus, we perform an analysis of how these configurations of gender, male or female, are represented in literature, starting from a premise that gender identities suffer ruptures from traditional models and are displaced, due to diverse sexual orientations present in contemporary times. As a corpus of this work, we chose five works by American, Brazilian and English writers, beginning in the 1970s: Rubyfruit Jungle (1973) by Rita Mae Brown; The Front Runner (1974), by Patricia Nell Warren; Hotel Dulac (1984), by Anita Brookner; Duas iguais (1996), by Cíntia Moscovich and Sapato de salto (2006), by Lygia Bojunga. It is exactly the discussion about the directions taken by the relation woman and society along years of History that this work focuses on. Defined as a literary production that reveals a profusion of female profiles, fiction written by Lygia Fagundes Telles presents, in many of its characters, the reality experienced by a group of women. Considering not only History of the Western world, but also the consequences of changes in women’s social position, in the other words, the existence of women’s History, in this dissertation, we seek to demonstrate how the writer designs female representatives who show us some courses of women’s trajectory. To examine the constructions of female identities within the literary discourse – bearing in mind the concept of social gender and the Feminist Literary Theory and Cristicism – is the main reading key of the short stories “A Confissão de Leontina”, “O Espartilho”, “Venha Ver o Pôr do Sol” e “Eu Era Mudo e Só”, objects of analysis in this research. To develop this work we appealed to the studies accomplished by Paul Ricoeur (2010), Pierre Bourdieu (2009), Lúcia Osana Zolin (2009), Elódia Xavier (1994, 2007), among other theorists. With the contributions of these studies and from the perspective of a woman liberation movement, we observe how the sign of domination manifests in literary discourse. For this, we consider the writer’s creation process and reflect about Lygia’s characters constitution as social constructs affected by ideologies, power relations, at last, a set of circumstances to which each epoch is exposed to. As a result we hope to evidence the dialog between Literature and History. / A mulher, assim como a sociedade – adotando aqui, como referência, o mundo ocidental –, há muito tempo vem passando por transformações. É exatamente a discussão dos rumos tomados pela relação entre mulher e sociedade ao longo de anos de história que o presente trabalho põe em foco. Definindo-se como uma obra reveladora de uma profusão de perfis femininos, a produção literária da escritora Lygia Fagundes Telles apresenta-nos, em muitas de suas personagens, a realidade vivenciada por uma coletividade de mulheres. Considerando não só a história do mundo ocidental, mas também a repercussão das transformações dessa sociedade sobre a posição social feminina, ou seja, a existência de uma história da mulher; nesta dissertação, procuramos demonstrar como a ficcionista concebe representantes femininas que revelam alguns percursos da trajetória da mulher. Examinar a construção de identidades femininas dentro do discurso literário, tendo em vista o conceito de gênero social e as orientações da Teoria e Crítica Literária Feminista, consiste na principal chave de leitura dos contos “A Confissão de Leontina”, “O Espartilho”, “Venha Ver o Pôr do Sol” e “Eu Era Mudo e Só”, objetos de análise desta pesquisa. Para o desenvolvimento de nosso trabalho, recorremos aos estudos realizados por Paul Ricoeur (2010), Pierre Bourdieu (2009), Lúcia Osana Zolin (2009), Elódia Xavier (1994, 2007), dentre outros teóricos. Com as contribuições de tais estudos e sob a perspectiva de um movimento de liberação da mulher, observamos como o signo da dominação se manifesta no discurso literário. Para isso, consideramos o processo de criação da escritora e pensamos na constituição das personagens lygianas como constructos sociais afetados por ideologias, relações de poder, enfim, um conjunto de circunstâncias a que estão expostas em cada época. Dessa forma, esperamos evidenciar o diálogo entre Literatura e História.

A presente dissertação discute as configurações de gênero e espaço na obra Sapato de salto (2006), da escritora Lygia Bojunga, dialogando com questões inerentes à literatura infantil e à identidade. Nessa perspectiva, verifica-se de que maneira aspectos sociais e culturais estão representados nas configurações de gênero e espaço na obra em estudo e que relações estabelecem com as personagens na construção de suas identidades. Para buscar resposta a esse questionamento, torna-se imprescindível a organização de um referencial teórico fundamentado em aspectos sociais e culturais a respeito de gênero e de espaço. Quando se tratar de gênero e suas configurações, utiliza-se Beauvoir (1980), Butler (2003), Louro (1997), Showalter (1994), e, quando o assunto for espaço, a referência consiste em Bachelard (1993), Certeau (1994), Corrêa (1989) e Pesavento (2002).
