The aforementioned law, which made the teaching of African and afro-Brazilian history and culture mandatory in the school curriculum, was passed in 2003 and, despite the time of its creation, its practical application is still little spread. Based on this context, this study aims at understanding the implementation process of the law 10.639/03 in a public school of Alvorada City /RS that offers EJA as a modality in High School. Methodologically, this paper will prioritize the construction of qualitative and quantitative data, combining the use of questionnaires only for the studentes and semi-strucured interviews for teachers, students and directing team of the school. / Este trabalho tem por objetivo problematizar a implementa??o da Lei Federal 10.639/03 no curr?culo escolar da Educa??o de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) no munic?pio de Alvorada/RS, com base na constru??o de identidades ?tnico-raciais dos educandos, a partir da percep??o dos interlocutores da pesquisa. A referida lei, que tornou obrigat?rio o ensino de hist?ria e cultura africana e afro-brasileira no curr?culo escolar, foi sancionada em 2003 e, a despeito do tempo de sua cria??o, na pr?tica ainda se mostra pouco difundida. Com base nesse contexto, pretende-se compreender o tema das rela??es ?tnico-raciais tanto no curr?culo quanto na vida dos educandos de uma escola p?blica de Alvorada/RS que disponibiliza a modalidade EJA no Ensino M?dio. Metodologicamente, este trabalho prioriza a constru??o de dados qualitativos e quantitativos, combinando uso de question?rio aos educandos e a realiza??o de entrevistas semi-estruturadas a educadores, educandos e equipe diretiva da escola estudada.
