The present study is an investigation on the discourse by women with eating disorders, who took part in the forum “DESABAFOS AQUI” from the community “Anorexia e Bulimia – Ajuda” in the Orkut. Based on Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and on the Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) I examined how these young women represent their identities, the dominant body model, and how they identified themselves and how the interact with one another. To make such an analysis I collected forty-four posts available in the Orkut, at the virtual community “Anorexia e Bulimia – Ajuda”, in the forum “DESABAFOS-AQUI”, from March 2009 through March 2011. In the consumer society in which we live the body is considered beautiful when it is slender, praised by the media as a synonym of beauty, happiness and success. Eating disorders are multifactorial disorders that are due to individual, family and hereditary factors, and especially sociocultural factors, which are the focus in this research. Orkut was created with the goal of helping its members to know people and to keep relationships through virtual communities that assemble around common interests. In the case of the “Anorexia e Bulimia – Ajuda”, the community includes those women with eating disorders (or those curious about the issue) who wish to discuss that subject. Analisei através dos pressupostos metodológicos da Analise Critica do Discurso (ACD) e da Linguistica Sistemico Funcional (LSF), como essas jovens mulheres representaram suas identidades, o modelo de corpo dominante, e como estas se identificaram e se relacionam entre si. Para esta análise foram utilizados 44 posts do Orkut disponíveis na comunidade virtual “Anorexia e Bulimia-Ajuda” no fórum “DESABAFOSAQUI” colhidos de Março de 2009 até Março de 2011, produzidos pelas jovens em questão. Na sociedade de consumo em que vivemos, o corpo considerado belo é o corpo magro apologizado e reforçado pela mídia como o corpo sinônimo de beleza, felicidade e sucesso. Os transtornos alimentares são distúrbios multifatoriais desencadeados por fatores individuais, familiares, hereditários e principalmente socioculturais, fatores foco desta pesquisa. O Orkut foi criado com o objetivo de ajudar seus membros a conhecer pessoas e manter relacionamentos através de comunidades virtuais que agrupam pessoas com interesses em comum. No caso da comunidade “Anorexia e Bulimia-Ajuda” portadoras de transtornos alimentares (ou curiosos) que desejam falar sobre este tema. A presente análise indicou que o modelo de corporeidade representado como belo e perfeito pelas jovens participantes do fórum “DESABAFOS-AQUI” do Orkut é o corpo esquelético, e que os posts produzidos por elas reproduzem e reforçam a ‘necessidade’ de disciplinar o corpo e mantê-lo em constante emagrecimento
