El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar si la Deficiencia Masticatoria por perdida dentaría es un Factor de Riesgo para presentar Dispepsia en el Adulto Mayor. Métodos Y Materiales: Esta población estuvo conformada 38 dispépticos y 38 no dispépticos, edentulos y parcialmente dentados, seleccionados del servicio de gastroenterología del Hospital Nacional Central Luis N. Saenz Lima – Perú, el Optosil® fue el test empleado para la funcion masticatoria. El diagnóstico de dispepsia fue basado en los criterios Roma II. / -- The purpose of this investigation was to determine if the masticatory deficiency for loss teeth is a Risk Factor to present Dyspepsia in patients elderly. Method And Materials: This population was conformed 38 dyspeptic (group study) y 38 no dyspeptic (group contro), edentulous and partially dentate patients, select them of the service of gastroenterology of the Hospital Central National LUIS N. SAENZ Lima-Perú. -- The Optosil® masticatory function test was performed. The diagnostic of dyspepsia was scored according to the updated standard Roma II.
