These aim to demonstrate the efficacy of the psychoanalytical method and praxis by means of the analysis of a five-year old boy. The emotional experiences and the relationship model with the analyst staying, the setting establishment, the therapeutical come and back, the constancy, presence and absence have helped in the development of new relationship, providing him a better interaction with his family and school, and the development of his subjectivation. The infant- psychoanalytical method was adequate to reach this purpose. / De uma revisão da literatura pertinente ao autismo são feitas algumas considerações a respeito da clínica deste transtorno, visando demonstrar a eficácia do método e da práxis psicanalítica através da análise de um menino de 05 anos. As vivências emocionais e o modelo relacional mediante a permanência da figura da analista, o estabelecimento do enquadre, o ir e vir terapêutico, a constância, presença e ausência auxiliaram no desenvolvimento de novas relações, proporcionando-lhe uma melhor interação com a família e com a escola e o desenvolvimento de seu processo de subjetivação. O método psicanalítico infantil demonstrou-se adequado para esta finalidade.
