This master’s thesis focuses on selecting an information system for the e-commerce site Lepime.cz. This e-shop sells home decorations – customized wall stickers. In the first part I am introducing the company, product, creating an analysis of the current information system and putting together the requirements and specifications. The second part is focusing on comparing considerable information systems, which were pre-selected to a shortlist. The key part compares the information systems economically, based on the required initial investments and monthly service fees.

The information system currently holds an essential role. Thus, it is necessary to keep up to date and fully compliant business needs. This thesis focuses on the comprehensive analysis of a selected information system. Its findings will contribute to finding appropriate solutions for improvement. It also aims to optimize the information system to perfectly cover the demands that are placed upon it.

The diploma thesis focuses on project management. Specifies the basic concepts and methods of project management. It contains a practical application of recommended metods and techniques in particular company.

This work deals with the assessment of the company's information system in real business environment, consider the advantages, disadvantages and risks of introducing information systems. Theoretical basis of this work explain the basic concepts relating to information systems analysis, especially terminology, analysis and trends. In the next chapter is described in detail the company and primary object is to assess information system of company based on strategic analysis and to suggest improvements of current state of information systems and technologies in described company.

This thesis deals with the proposals for the information system modifications, especially in the accommodation reservation system, in order to gain a competitive advantage. This thesis explores the business environment Fonetip s.r.o. and its business area. The key is the analysis of information systems, data security, IT equipment and internal processes. On the basis of being selected ERP system, including implementation plan and costing. Mentioned are the risks of changes on the possibility of elimination.

This diploma thesis analyzes the information system of a small company and suggests improvements. In theoretical part are specified current methods for evaluation of information systems effectiveness.
