Apesar de ocuparem papel central na legislação, pouco tem se pesquisado sobre os instrutores. Dessa forma, a presente pesquisa propôs-se a investigar e refletir sobre a trajetória de vida pessoal e profissional dos instrutores de trânsito bem como o processo de escolha profissional e as marcas inconscientes que os atravessaram. Participaram da pesquisa doze instrutores de trânsito, sendo dez homens e duas mulheres. Os instrumentos utilizados foram entrevistas autobiográficas e memórias educativas, buscou-se analisar o material produzido a partir da teoria psicanalítica. Os eixos de pesquisa foram elaborados posteriormente com base na análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin (2001) e Franco (2008), cinco eixos de análise foram definidos: 1-escolha e formação profissional, 2-relação instrutor x aluno, 3-memórias do trânsito, 4-prazer e sofrimento, 5- ensinar a dirigir: facilidades e dificuldades encontradas. A análise dos dados revelou que o trânsito fez parte da vivência destes profissionais desde muito antes da escolha da profissão. Os instrutores ressaltaram experiências marcantes com o trânsito em suas histórias de vida e que de maneira particular influenciaram e atravessaram suas escolhas profissionais. Mesmo sem conhecimento à priori da importância de se considerar a dimensão da subjetividade, os instrutores buscam compreender os aspectos individuais e/ou singulares de seus alunos. Um dado complementar interessante é que não ficou evidenciado nesta pesquisa o preconceitos com as instrutoras do sexo feminino. Os instrutores revelaram sentir-se responsáveis não apenas para instruir os condutores, mas sobretudo educá-los. / According to Law 12,302 / 10, traffic instructor is responsible for the professional training of drivers in Brazil. Although they occupy central role in legislation, little has been researched about the instructors. Thus, the present study aimed to investigate and reflect on the path of personal and professional life of traffic instructors and the professional selection process and the unconscious brands who crossed them. The participants were twelve traffic instructors, ten men and two women. The instruments used were autobiographical interviews and educational memories, it attempted to analyze the material produced from the psychoanalytic theory. The axes of research were subsequently developed based on content analysis proposed by Bardin (2001) and Franco (2008), five axes of analysis were defined: 1-choice and vocational training, 2-relationship instructor x pupil, 3-memories Traffic, 4-pleasure and suffering, 5- teach driving: facilities and difficulties encountered. Data analysis revealed that the traffic was part of the experience of these professionals since long before the choice of profession. Instructors stressed remarkable experiences with traffic on their life stories and in a particular way and crossed influenced their career choices. Even without a priori knowledge of the importance of considering the dimension of subjectivity, instructors seek to understand the individual and / or unique aspects of their students. An interesting additional finding is that was not observed in this study the prejudices with the instructors women. Instructors revealed feel responsible not only to instruct the drivers, but rather educate them.
