Perspektivy ve vzdělávání žáků s handicapem. / Perspectives in education of pupils with a handicap.

SABOLOVÁ, Andrea January 2014 (has links)
The thesis is focused on mapping the current conditions of schools in the education of pupils with specific learning needs with regard to the conditions set by the state of this type of education. The work is divided into two parts-the theoretical and practical. The theoretical part provides an overview of the status of a student with special needs in school. Specifically, concepts such as diagnostics, re-education and problems in school these pupils. A substantial part of the work also discusses the possibilities of integrating these students into mainstream schools and the related demands and requirements of schools. These conditions are in the form of compensation and support measures enshrined in Decree 147/2011 Coll., The observance of which in practice is the subject of the practical part of the thesis.

The paradigms of e-Education:an analysis of the communication structures in the research on information and communication technology integration in education in the years 2000–2001

Pulkkinen, J. (Jyrki) 09 January 2004 (has links)
Abstract This thesis aims to contribute to the restructuring of the research field of ICT in education by trying to reduce the complexity of the research with an analysis of the research from the perspective of research of science. The analysis provides a second order observation of research especially from a paradigm point of view. The concept of paradigm has been re-defined by applying Niklas Luhmann's (1995) theory of social systems. The main research task of this thesis is to describe the paradigms structuring scientific communication in research on ICT integration in education. The research questions here are based on the understanding that paradigms are structures of the social communicative systems of science, creating expectations for the researcher about the scientific nature of the research. The definition of the paradigm as a selective structure in a social communicative system of science implicitly defines that the communication within the system is language by nature. In this research, to separate it from linguistics, the focus is in the use of language in research context, not in language itself. In practice, the paradigms of research on ICT integration in education are analyzed through qualitative analysis of metaphors containing ontological assumptions of research and rhetoric convincing the scientific community of the scientific nature and the interest of research. The sample articles have been selected according to such a criteria that they can be seen representing the core of the scientific communication in the field. From the education point of view, the mainstream of research on ICT integration in education has led to an immersion of the learning theoretical foundation of the research into techno-economic paradigms - and in a sense led to fading of broader educational and social perspectives. The mainstream of the research is shadowing the research that has social and cultural approaches and critical research interests related to a changing education system and global educational problems. Although the research puts emphasis on constructive learning theories, techno-economic paradigms of the research field continue the tradition of instructional technology, which is framing the concept of "e-Education". This mainstream is not viable in solving the current problems of education globally. This is not to say that the research field of ICT in education is growing obsolete. On the contrary, the research is needed urgently but it should focus also on the broader educational and social developments in a global context. / Tiivistelmä Tämä tutkimus liittyy tieto- ja viestintätekniikan opetuskäytön poikkitieteellisen tutkimusalueen jäsentämiseen ja selkiinnyttämiseen. Tutkimuksen lähestymistapa on tutkimuksen tutkimus, jossa tutkimusaluetta tarkastellaan reflektiivisesti ns. toisen tason havainnointina. Analyysin tarkoituksena on jäsentää tieteellisen kommunikaation paradigmaattisia rakenteita. Orastava sosio-kulttuurinen tutkimus-suuntaus on selvästi edellä mainitun pääsuuntauksen varjossa.

Learners' experience of the integration of theory and practice in a wholesale and retail generalist (NQF Level 2) learnership

De Mink, Karen Joy January 2007 (has links)
Master Education - Med / Skills development is essential for every country to keep abreast with, at least one aspect of globalisation, namely, changes regarding production in the modern world. The way in which each country implements its skills development programme will depend on the unique history and circumstances of that country. Germany and Japan are amongst those countries that opted for a high skills strategy, whilst the United Kingdom opted for a low skills strategy. Kraak (2005) argues that South Africa would benefit by implementing a ‘multi-pronged’ skills strategy because many of its citizens are unskilled or have very low skills. This approach would cater for lowskills, intermediate-skills and continue to develop high skills. South Africa’s inputs-based education and training system has been replaced by a controversial outcomes-based approach. Many authors view an outcomes-based programme as lacking theory or content (Kraak, 1998; Young, 2004; Brown & Keep, 2000; Boreham, 2002), as reductive and mechanistic (Bates & Dutson, 1995, in Boreham, 2002) and mainly work-based and assessment-driven (Boreham, 2002). These criticisms question the quality of outcomes-based programmes. New laws promulgated by the South African government have introduced learnerships that form part of this new Skills Development strategy. This study reviewed the general policy on skills development and explored the experiences of learners who completed a Wholesale and Retail Learnership in the context of the structured college-based learning, the practical work-based learning as well as the integration of theory and practice, in South Africa. A qualitative approach was selected to enhance the researcher’s understanding of the personal perspectives and experiences of learners who completed the learnership. The case study approach was used with a focus on analysing the subjective opinions of this group of learners. The research methods employed to clarify the understanding of how these learners experienced the learnership were semi-structured interviews, observations and analysis of documents. The research shows that South Africa’s multi-level National Qualifications Framework provides for academic as well as vocational training and promotes a ‘multi-pronged’ skills strategy. The findings suggest that the learners on this learnership experienced the theoretical learning in the college and the practical learning on the job as an integrated whole. The study concludes that the structured college-based learning enabled the learners on this learnership to implement what they learnt at college in the workplace. / South Africa

Respektování práv jedinců s mentálním postižením a školní integrace / Recognizing of rights of mentally disabled individuals and school integration.

CZINEGOVÁ, Eva January 2009 (has links)
The attitude of society towards persons with mental disabilities and recognizing their rights and dignity are important evaluation aspects of the society. The Czech Republic follows modern European trends that provide the mentally disabled with the same extent of activities as people without disabilities. As a topic of my thesis I have chosen the mentally disabled children´s right to education. The thesis addresses attitudes of primary school headmasters as well as attitudes of the staff of special education centers for children and youths with mental disabilities to integration of pupils with mental disabilities into a regular primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with important documents discussing the rights of individuals with mental disabilities. It describes not only mental disability and its degrees, but in particular education of children with mental disabilities in schools set up for pupils with special educational needs and the possibility of integrating these pupils into mainstream education. The theoretical part is followed by the practical part. The objective of the thesis was to identify the attitude of primary school headmasters as well as that of the staff of a special education center for the mentally disabled staff to the integration process of children with mental disabilities into mainstream primary schools and implementation of the right to education of children with mental disabilities. The research was conducted by the interrogation method using anonymous questionnaires. The results show that a majority of primary schools headmasters in the South Bohemian region support the right to education of pupils with mental disabilities in the form of their integration into regular classrooms. All the respondents, both primary school headmasters and the special education center staff, give the priority at education to individual learning abilities of each child with a mental disability. At the integration of a pupil with a mental disability into a regular primary school the crucial criterion is health and social motivation, not economic motivation. This thesis can be used as a survey of current attitudes and opinions of primary school headmasters and special education centers´ staff on the possibility of pupils with mental disabilities integration into mainstream education.

A metodologia utilizada foi o estudo de caso, realizado através de levantamento bibliográfico, documental e entrevistas com os principais servidores envolvidos neste processo / Abstract: The research presents an analysis of the Program of Professional Education integrated with the Young and Adult Education - PROEJA's implementation, created by Decree n. 5840/2006, in the State of São Paulo. The program, which provides vocational training for young and adults simultaneously to school education, was implemented in three units of the Federal Center of Technological Education (CEFET) in the state, the following year. In 2008, the Cefet is transformed into Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFSP) which, after three years of its creation, had 27 campuses in all regions of the state, without offering Proeja courses, however. Before reviewing the policy's implementation, we seek to understand the paths taken by the Vocational Education and the Young and Adults Education, highlighting the focus of the training, the discourse of continuing education until lifelong learning and how these two modes of teaching approaches - or not - throughout history. We also seek to understand the political and social issues that led to the inclusion of Proeja on the government's agenda of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, changes in the focus of this type of education and the place the EJA comes to occupy in society. We also analyzed the transformation of Cefet into Federal Institute, its rapid expansion through the state, the importance of this "transformation" for the institution and for society as a whole. Finally, we present a report with the institution's managers on the arrival of Proeja and how was its implementation process, considering the institution's expansion phase. The methodology used was the case study, conducted through literature, documentary and interviews with key servers involved in this process / Mestrado / Politicas, Administração e Sistemas Educacionais / Mestra em Educação
