The sample was constituted by two groups of citizens, the first one was formed by 2 professionals who co-ordinate this activity in the Universities and the second one by 40 students who got philanthropic scholarship. From previous experience with scholarship we evidence that the intersubjective aspects must be part of the exercise of election, and when they are not observed they inhumanize the activity, because they simply fit the citizens in the criterion preset for concession of scholarship. The interview with the coordinating professionals allowed us to know the Scholarship Programs of the two Universities and evidences that, in general way, little visibility to the intersubjective aspects is given for fear to compromise the isonomy of the process. The evaluation of the scholarship holders on this problematic was gotten by means of an auto-inform questionnaire, being the data worked for punctuation average. For such, program SPSS - Statistical Package for the Social Sciences - was used as data base. From this evaluation, we identified that the way of the students become related with this activity is very peculiar, depending on the history of life of each one, its way to feel, to think and to act in the world. And, therefore, we verify that considering these aspects is essential to construct an election instrument that is not cold, thus disrespecting, the subjectivity of those ones who constitute it. It was evidenced that the art of listening and receiving in the interviews for scholarship are the entrance to humanize the process of scholarship election in the Universities / Este estudo tem por objetivo investigar o processo de seleção para bolsa de estudos em duas Universidades filantrópicas e refletir sobre os aspectos intersubjetivos que fazem parte desse processo como caminho para uma humanização da seleção socioeconômica. A amostra foi constituída por dois grupos de sujeitos, sendo o primeiro formado por 2 profissionais que coordenam esta atividade nas Universidades e o segundo por 40 alunos bolsistas, com bolsa de caráter filantrópico. A partir de experiência anterior com bolsa de estudos constatamos que os aspectos intersubjetivos devem estar presentes no exercício de seleção para bolsa e, quando não observados, desumanizam a atividade, porque simplesmente enquadram os sujeitos no critério preestabelecido para concessão de bolsa. A entrevista com os profissionais coordenadores nos permitiu conhecer os Programas de bolsa das duas Universidades e constatamos que, de modo geral, dá-se pouca visibilidade aos aspectos intersubjetivos por receio de comprometer a isonomia do processo. A avaliação dos bolsistas sobre essa problemática foi obtida por meio de um questionário auto-informe, sendo os dados trabalhados por média de pontuação. Para tal, foi utilizado como banco de dados o programa SPSS - Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. A partir desta avaliação, constatamos que a forma dos alunos se relacionarem com essa atividade é muito peculiar, dependendo da história de vida de cada um, do seu modo de sentir, pensar e agir no mundo. E, por isso mesmo, verificamos que considerar esses aspectos é imprescindível para construir um instrumento de seleção que não seja frio, desconsiderando assim, a subjetividade daqueles que o constituem. Foi constatado ainda que a arte da escuta e a acolhida nos atendimentos para bolsa de estudos é a entrada para humanizar o processo de seleção de bolsistas nas Universidades
