The objective of this research is to understand the formation of “afro-people territories” around the everyday life of the city, and so, it tries to understand the cultural values and practices that have become specific of the afro-people themselves and contrary to the expectations of the control of various authorities and literate groups. At the same time, this work tries to delineate the location of these territories from daily confrontations, social meanings and construction of identities among different people that occupied the city, captive, freed and free. / Salvador
