The television, as a means of mass communication, is changing its programming by entering new practices focused on the extent of their programming for the network of computers and interactivity with the Viewer. These changes can open new doors for citizens to influence the agenda of television news and bring to the TV screen themes dear to citizenship. This work discusses the challenges faced by the public in the search for information and, especially, for information relating to their citizenship. In this way the journalism, covered in this work in the convergence between television and the internet from the Jornal Hoje and its extension to the web environment. / Os avanços tecnológicos, em especial a Internet, provocam mudanças estruturais na sociedade e nos próprios meios de comunicação. A televisão, como meio de comunicação de massa, vem alterando a sua programação inserindo novas práticas centradas na extensão de sua programação para a rede de computadores e na interatividade com o telespectador. Essas mudanças podem abrir novas portas para que o cidadão influencie a pauta do telejornal e leve para a tela da tevê os temas caros à cidadania. Este trabalho discute os desafios enfrentados pelo público na busca por informação e, especialmente, por informações que digam respeito à sua cidadania. Neste caminho o jornalismo, abordado neste trabalho na relação de convergência entre a televisão e a internet a partir do Jornal Hoje e sua extensão ao ambiente web.
