Consumer responsiveness to price reductions of FMCG products / Schopnost spotřebitelů reagovat na cenové slevy rychloobrátkového zboží

Brabencova, Eliska January 2014 (has links)
Main goal of this Master's thesis was to evaluate how price reductions influence consumers' likelihood to purchase FMCG products in connection to brand loyalty. Czech customers are characterized by high sensitivity to sales promotions. This thesis is focused on analysis of price discounts of shampoos in the Czech Republic. Leaflets of main retailers selling drugstore products were researched in order to describe the frequency and discount depth of shampoos. Customers' behaviour while buying shampoos and their attitude towards price discounts of shampoos were examined through a questionnaire. Main hypotheses that shampoos are discounted very frequently and of significant depth were confirmed. To conclude, customers' likelihood to buy shampoos increases heavily with discounted prices and some of the customers even believe that it is not worth buying shampoos for full prices.

Vývoj kosmetického krému vyhovující standardům certifikace CPK / Development of cosmetic cream fulfilling standards of CPK certification

Zinkovska, Natalia January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to propose a recipe of natural BB-creams with the desired properties (different color shades, that will be suitable for Central European skin type; flow properties, texture, spreadability, stability). The experimental part of the thesis is mainly focused on the development of BB-cream formulas. Several different formulations with diverse dispersion medium (water and aloe vera/water in a suitable ratio) have been proposed, and three different shades of BB-cream have been developed. The flow properties (viscosity) of the samples were measured, accelerated stability tests were realized by using the dispersion analyzer LUMISizer, the obtained results were correlated with the results of stress temperature tests. The results of the rheological analysis showed that the flow properties of the creams are comparable with commercially available preparations. Stress temperature tests have shown that prepared samples remain stable over 4 cycles (12 weeks) of changing storage temperature, accelerated destabilization tests performed by LUMISizer confirmed their stability. The colour coordinates of the developed shades were measured using a spectrophotometer and compared with commercial analogues. Also the questionnaire for sensory evaluation of preparations for more comprehensive analysis of prepared BB-creams was developed. The 25 female respondents of different ages participated in servey. The results of sensory evaluation showed that textural properties of developed creams are satisfactory for potential consumers.

Alergenní vonné látky v potravinách a předmětech běžného užívání / Fragrance Allergens in Foods and Everyday Use Products

Divišová, Radka January 2014 (has links)
Fragrances are added to food, cosmetics and other products primarily for enhancement of their sensory quality (taste and/or aroma). However, the usage of these compounds is associated with the wide range of various adverse biological effects. Some fragrances widely used in cosmetics are proved to cause e.g. skin sensitization, rashes, dermatitis, headache, cough etc. To protect the health of consumers, European union approved the cosmetic directive (ES/1223/2009) that requires the labeling of 26 allergen fragrances on the final product label, if concentration exceeds the given level (0,01 % for rinse-off and 0,001 % for leave-on product). However, some producers hide the presence of allergens in the final product under the general term „aroma“. For this reason it is very important to monitor the content of these substances in cosmetic products. Fragrances are found not only in cosmetics, but the various types of food are also aromatized by them. Unlike cosmetics, the food producers are not obliged to label the presence of fragrance allergens on the packaging. Therefore, the monitoring of these fragrances is highly desirable because of the potential health risks they pose. The aim of this study was to develop a method for simultaneous determination of regulated fragrance allergens in food and everyday use products. The method based on extraction of analytes by solid phase microextraction coupled to gas chromatography with FID detection (HS-SPME-GC-FID) was chosen on the basis of the literature review. The fiber CAR/PDMS provided the highest extraction efficiency among the SPME fibers tested. Univariate and multivariate data analysis were used to optimize the main parameters affecting microextraction process. The final method validation was performed in terms of linearity, repeatability, reproducibility, recovery, limits of detection and quantification. The optimized and validated method was applied to a wide range of products including cosmetics, aromatized food and fragranced toys. These products were also subjected to sensory evaluation especially in terms of taste and/or aroma (i.e. flavour), which may be associated with the content of the monitored fragrances. The profile test (EN ISO 13299) and seven-point category ordinal scale (ISO 4121) were used for sensory evaluation.

Produkce mikrobiálních enzymů a jejich stabilizace enkapsulací / Production of microbial enzymes and their stabilization by encapsulation

Hazuchová, Eva January 2016 (has links)
The present thesis deals with the production of microbial enzymes and their subsequent stabilization through encapsulation. The theoretical part focuses on microbial enzymes, especially extracellular hydrolases, their producers and characteristics. Within the theory is also discussed the possibility of the application of enzymes in the field of pharmacy and medicine. Experimental work was focused on the actual production of microbial enzymes and methods for their to stabilization. The production of proteolytic and lipolytic enzymes in dependence on time and the used culture substrate were followed. The highest enzyme production was observed in Aspergillus oryzae when cultured on wheat bran at the third day of cultivation. In the experimental part was further carried out the identification, isolation and purification of enzymes. A substantial part of the experiment was to stabilize produced microbial enzymes by encapsulation. Enzymes were entrapped into alginate particles with encapsulation efficiency in the range of 55-70 %. The highest efficiency exhibited encapsulated enzymes from Aspergillus oryzae. Subsequently, long-term stability of the encapsulated enzyme in two environments (in water and gel) was followed during six weeks incomparison with free enzyme. During storage of free enzyme a significant decrease in enzyme activities occured, especially between the fourth and sixth week of storage. On the contrary, in encapsulated increased enzyme activities were observed. Empty particles exhibited higher stability during storage in the gel than in water. In this thesis potential use of enzymes in the pharmaceutical industry as agents promoting digestion was tested too. According to the results, particles with encapsulated microbial enzymes could be considered as suitable for some pharmaceutical applications.
