  • The Global ETD Search service is a free service for researchers to find electronic theses and dissertations. This service is provided by the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations.
Our metadata is collected from universities around the world. If you manage a university/consortium/country archive and want to be added, details can be found on the NDLTD website.

Lövinger, Andreas January 2023 (has links)
EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) is an important aspect to consider in circuit boarddesign as a product must not be interfered with or interfere with other products throughelectromagnetic radiation. During the development of a prototype, it is primarily important toachieve functionality, and the EMC aspect may only come into play when the product istransitioning from prototype to finished product. The project is based on a previously developed prototype of an electrically controlledexercise machine that uses a motor to generate weight. The aim is to develop a circuit boardto replace "prototype parts" with the goal of reducing power losses, achieving good EMCperformance, and a more compact design than the protoype.During the project, a preliminary study has been conducted on EMC, knowledge has beengained to carry out circuit board design in Altium designer, and components have beenselected through studies of data sheets. Functional tests have been carried out to ensure thatthe functions present in the prototype are achieved, as well as near-field tests for electricalfields to estimate the circuit board's EMC performance. The result is a circuit board thatmeets many of the project's goals such as a more compact design, lower power losses, and theability to have low electromagnetic radiation.
