The number of buildings seeking LEED certification has been growing steadily over the past few years. In this study, three academic buildings which were designed and built to LEED certification standards were targeted in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Their electricity consumption and cost effectiveness were examined and compared with predesigned LEED efficiency models of those three buildings. This research directly examined cost effectiveness of LEED buildings in terms of electricity usage. Three case studies were completed to find the initial and on-going electricity costs of LEED buildings and to verify the LEED standard results. LEED aspects of these buildings were discussed with contractors, architects, project managers, and building maintenance personnel who participated in LEED projects and non-LEED sustainable projects.

The subject of this final thesis is to process selected parts of the construction technological project for the apartment house Eden in Poprad. The thesis deals with the implementation of the rough construction of the building. The content of this thesis is a engineering report, site plan with estate road layout, time schedule and financial plan for the whole object, feasibility study of the main technological stages of the building, construction site equipment project with drawings of three main technological stages, design of major construction machinery and mechanisms, time schedule of the rough construction of the main building, balance of workers and main machines, item budget, technological regulation for the realization of monolithic floor slab, control and test plan for the realization of monolithic reinforced concrete structures. As another assignment, I process selected points of LEED certification, noise study and health and safety plan.

The main subject of this diploma thesis is a construction technological project of preparation and realization multifunctional building in Brno on Trugeněvova street. It is a new construction of the main building. It provides a technical report on the construction technology project, transport relations for the transport of materials and machinery to the construction site, following technical report of construction site equipment, construction technology study, design of machinery and last but not least elaboration of technological regulation for the execution of monolithic structures. Furthermore, the chapters on health and safety protection at work on the construction site, as well as the LEED certification system and the financial and time plan of the selected stage are elaborated.

The content of my diploma thesis is a construction technology project of an administrative building in Brno. The work emphasizes the feasibility of the object. I prepared an implementation study with a detailed solution of the construction process in terms of time and financial plan. Technological regulations, control and testing plans and occupational health and safety are proposed. Drawings are pre-pared for the performed construction
