Labirinto - logika ir alogizmas / Logic of labyrinths and alogisms

Kadelskienė, Deimantė 16 January 2006 (has links)
SUMMARY The master‘s thesis titled “Logic of Labyrinths and Alogisms” seeks to disclose the meaning of the labyrinth symbol and to go deep into it as a phenomenon existing in reality. The non-heterogeneity of this phenomenon has been disclosed by analysing the symbol of the labyrinth through the psychological, philosophical and mythological prisms. The author has made a conclusion that the labyrinth has two spheres of existence, which may be conditionally subdivided into logical and alogical. The author aimed at expressing the main concept of the theoretical studies of the master‘s thesis by using the artistic means. The principal aim was not only to maintain the classical depiction of the labyrinth but also to convey the phenomenon through the personal prism. Although the leather art employs a number of techniques and materials, the classical techniques and materials have been chosen in this master‘s thesis. Various art technologies of leather work have been paralleled in this creative project keeping to natural leather as a principal material. The analysis has come to the conclusion that the creative work of any artist may be compared with the search of the keys that could open the locks of sub-consciousness. During the creative process and with every new work the artist as if opens the lock on one of the doors that keep some secret behind them.

Labirinto tema Sauliaus Tomo Kondroto romane „Ir apsiniauks žvelgiantys pro langą“, Alain Robbe-Grillet „Labirinte“ ir Umberto Eco kūrinyje „Rožės vardas“ / The theme of labyrinth in the novel „And Those Look out of Windows Be Dimmed“ written by Saulius Tomas Kondrotas, Alain Robbe – Grillet's „In the Labyrinth“ and Umberto Eco's „The Name of the Rose“

The object of this research is three novels written by authors belonging to three different cultures, namely “And Those Look out of Windows Be Dimmed“, by Lithuanian prosaist Saulius Tomas Kondrotas, “In the Labyrinth”, by French novelist Alain Robbe – Grillet and “The Name of the Rose", by Italian author Umberto Eco. All these novels are connected by the theme of labyrinth, which in all the three works is the main idea, making up the plot. These novels are familiar to the poetics of the “New Novel” and postmodern mindset. The main aim of this research, related to the chosen methodology, is to compare how the approach to the theme of labyrinth is similar and how it differs in all the three novels, enlisted above. This research tries to find out what meanings does the symbol of labyrinth hide in itself and what impact does it have to the World of Art. The hypothesis that the symbol of labyrinth is closely associated with the aesthetic views of these three authors is also raised. The main aim of the researcher is to prove this hypothesis. The conclusions of the research state, that previously mentioned symbol expresses discussed authors’ attitude to the world. With the help of the image of labyrinth, these authors create open text, having many meanings and traits of postmodern novel, namely the death of an author, the refusal of meaning, devaluation of reason and logic, elevation of spontaneity and coincidence, disappearance of the boundaries between fiction and reality... Mirties įvaizdis Sauliaus Tomo Kondroto romane "Ir apsiniauks žvelgiantys pro langą" / An Image of a Death in the Novel "Ir apsiniauks žvelgiantys pro langą" by Saulius Tomas Kondrotas

Rastenytė, Jolita 16 August 2007 (has links)
Magistro darbe „Mirties įvaizdis Sauliaus Tomo Kondroto romane „Ir apsiniauks žvelgiantys pro langą“ (1985) analizuojama mirties tema lietuvių prozoje. Remiantis Vakarų kultūrologijoje ir tanatologijoje susiformavusia mirties samprata, yra ginamas teiginys, kad šiame romane sukurtas literatūrinis (estetinis) mirties įvaizdis, kuris gali pristatyti skaitytojui visuminę mirties pajautą ir praplėsti bei pagilinti kultūrologinę (mitologinę, religinę ir filosofinę) mirties fenomeno interpretaciją. XX a. lietuvių prozoje mirtis yra viena svarbiausių jos tematikos krypčių. Darbe aiškinamasi, kodėl mirties įvaizdžio šiame romane analizė leidžia pereiti prie gilesnių laisvės, valdžios, diktatūros ir kitų klausimų tyrinėjimų, be to, padeda suvokti romano meninės raiškos priemones. / The Masters Research presented is based on the impressions of death in the novel ”Ir apsiniauks žvelgiantys pro langą” (The Devouring Gaze of the Window Lookers), published 1985. The research presents an analysis of the theme of death in Lithuanian literature as written by Saulius Tomas Kondrotas. In the XX Century, the theme and analysis of death in Lithuanian literature is a main focus. Western literature, as presented in the book, with its thanatology and perception of death is often conceptionalized with an incomplete impression of thanatology focusing on saving, protecting and keeping alive in its cultural values, philosophy and theology. For the purpose of this study, analysing the novel of S.T. Kondrotas was selected as death is the epicenter of its theme. In the book Magic Realism as an art form is used as a means of expression. In the novel plain, simple, miracles of ordinary daily life are absolutely essential . In the novel, the meaning of death is expanded by the use of myths, religion, and philosophy to extend and broaden its perception. Death’s impression in the analysis of the book deepens the knowledge of government control, dictatorship, and freedom with the questions this poses. Forms of art presented as Magic Realism in the book assist the reader in understanding what the book intends to reveal. Significant language in the book include the author’s view of the death experience, the magic art of dying, and the tone in which it is written. The novel also... [to full text]
