El trastorno del Desarrollo del Lenguaje (TDL), es una condición del neurodesarrollo de alta incidencia, pero poco conocida por los profesionales en educación y psicología. Esta condición tiene serias afectaciones en el aprendizaje, desarrollo social y emocional que permanecen a lo largo de la vida, sin embargo, una intervención temprana y oportuna mejora el pronóstico y la calidad de vida de la persona. El objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer el nivel de conocimientos sobre TDL de 110 docentes de educación inicial de Lima Metropolitana. Se diseñó y aplicó un cuestionario de 20 ítems de opción múltiple en modalidad virtual. Los resultados evidenciaron tendencias baja y moderada (36.4% en ambos casos) sobre el conocimiento sobre el TDL, teniendo niveles bajos (38.2%) sobre la definición, tendencia baja sobre las características (38.2%), aunque con un nivel alto (38.2%) sobre los factores de riesgos y criterios de la derivación (40.0%); así también se encontró que el 95.4% afirma reconocer un posible caso de TDL en el contexto de inicial. Se concluye que el TDL es poco conocido en la comunidad educativa y su alta prevalencia como impacto negativo en el desarrollo humano, exige profundizar el conocimiento en nuestro contexto, dado el efecto alcanzado con una intervención temprana. / Development Language Disorder (DLD) is a neurodevelopmental condition of high incidence; however, education and psychology professionals do not know much about it. This condition seriously affects learning and the social and emotional development that will remain throughout life. However, an early and timely intervention improves the prognosis and the person's quality of life. This research aims to know the level of knowledge about DLD in 110 preschool teachers within the metropolitan area of Lima, Peru. We designed a multiple-choice questionnaire with 20 items to be answered online. The results showed a low and moderate trend (36.4% in both cases) regarding their knowledge about DLD. A low level of 38.2% know the definition. Then, regarding DLD characteristics, a low trend of 38.2% reveal knowledge about it. On the other hand, a high 38.2% revealed that they can identify risk factors and an also high 40% showed that they can establish a referral criteria. It was also found that a 95.4% claimed to be able to recognize a possible case of DLD in a preschool environment. As a conclusion, we can say that DLD is not much known with the educational community. A high prevalence of DLD as a negative impact on the human development, so it is imperative to have a more profound knowledge in our context, given the effect that can be achieved with an early intervention.
