El sector del factoring es nuevo en Perú en comparación a otros países de la región quienes cuentan con esta herramienta financiera hace más de veinte años. Este sector ha presentado un gran crecimiento en nuestro país en el último año por lo que pareció interesante analizarlo, pero debido a lo poco desarrollado de este método de financiamiento, la información es limitada a pesar que hoy se cuenta con treinta y tres empresas registradas en la Superintendencia de Banca, Seguro y AFP de acuerdo a lo que se estableció en el “Reglamento del Factoring, descuento y empresas de factoring”. El problema que encontramos nos llevó a determinar el objetivo de la investigación, el cual es establecer y analizar las variables que influyen en la eficiencia en una determinada empresa del sector para de esta forma replicar la metodología y así poder medir la eficiencia en un sector. La presente investigación se basó en el desarrollo del análisis envolvente de datos (DEA) como método para calcular la eficiencia y del Índice de Malmquist para la comparación de la productividad. Para este cálculo, se usaron determinadas variables. Para finalizar el estudio, se usó el índice de correlación en las hipótesis planteadas que nos ayudó a determinar la influencia de las variables en la eficiencia de la empresa y por lo tanto en el sector. De esta forma, este trabajo puede servir como referencia a futuras investigaciones si se desea realizar un análisis específicamente del factoring en Perú. / The factoring sector is new in Peru compared to other countries in the region who have this financial tool for more than twenty years. This sector has shown great growth in our country in the last year so it seemed interesting to analyze it, but due to the little development of this method of financing, the information is limited, even though today there are thirty-three companies registered with the Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP according to what was established in the "Factoring Regulation, discounting and factoring companies". The problem that we found led us to determine the objective of the research, which is to establish and analyze the variables that influence the efficiency of a particular company in the sector in order to replicate the methodology and thus measure efficiency in a sector. The present investigation was based on the development of the data envelopment analysis (DEA) as a method to calculate the efficiency and the Malmquist Index for the comparison of the productivity. For this calculation, certain variables were used that could be relevant. To finish the study, the correlation index was used in the hypotheses that helped us determine the influence of the variables on the efficiency of the company and therefore in the sector. In this way, this work can serve as a reference to future research if it is desired to perform a specific analysis about the factoring in Peru. / Tesis
