The thesis is focused on the analysis of the macroeconomic relationships of the growth of indebtedness of Czech households in 2000 - 2015. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find the main causes of household indebtedness growth and to identify the influence of this process on selected macroeconomic variables. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with money creation, monetary and fiscal policy, the role of money in economic cycles and economic theories of household consumption. The practical part focuses more closely on debt development, its structure and sociodemographic structure of indebted households. The thesis describes the causes of household indebtedness growth, impacts on selected macroeconomic variables, ability of households to meet their financial obligations and, last but not least, international comparisons with selected EU countries. The diploma thesis brings a comprehensive view of the debt of Czech households in the period 2000 - 2015. At the end of the thesis, it explains the main causes and consequences of the growing indebtedness of households, together with the international comparison and the sociodemographic characteristic of indebted households.

Analýza marketingové komunikace hypotečních úvěrů a úvěrů na bydlení na českém masmediálním trhu v letech 2010-2015 / Analysis of the marketing communication of the mortgage loans on the Czech media market in the 2010–2015 period

This Master's thesis is primarily focused on the analysis of mass media communication on the market of mortgage loans in the period between 2010 and 2015. In the theoretical part research was done summarising existing knowledge about the development of the Czech mortgage market and mass media market in the mentioned period. In the second part focus is shifted to the methodology of the research, in particular to the data-mining method CRISP-DM. Described here are tools of descriptive statistics, that were used in the research, and also methods of regress, correlation and cluster analysis are explained. The empirical part of the thesis looks into the trends in mass media communication of mortgage loans, trying to expose relevant influences and identify reciprocal connections between mass media communication of the mortgage lenders, their financial strength and their duration of existence. In the conclusion the results of the analysis are summarised and recommendations are drawn for their implementation in practice.

The thesis is primarily focused on mortgage loans, bridging loans and hans coming from building savings, both of them provided by building societies. In particular parts of the thesis are described basic principles of mortgage hans and building savings loans. There is stated thein legislation, kinds and types of individual housing loans. In the following part is analyzed the current market situation and market development of housing loans in the Czech Republic including the factors influencing this development. In the last part are compared different types of the hans using a model example. In comparison are included fees relating to loans and interest rates, which are published on the official website of selected companies.

The theme of this thesis is the mortgage crisis in the United States which has started almost two years before after the burst of a price bubble in the American residential real estate market. The aim of the thesis is to analyze causes and implications of this crisis. The theoretical part of the thesis follows characteristics of the asset price bubbles. In this part is also a description of three theories: Austrian business cycle theory, Hyman Minsky's financial instability hypothesis and the theory of Robert Shiller, which interpret causes of bubbles in a variety of ways. The analytical part deals with causes and impacts of the crisis. As the key factors of the crisis are examined mortgage credit expansion, monetary policy of central bank, securitization as an innovation in financial markets and the role of the psychological factors. The last chapter of the thesis analyses impacts of the crisis on the homeowners, real estate market, the whole economy and global financial markets.

Protikrízové opatrenia hotela Westside v rokoch 2008/2009 so zameraním na nefinančnú sféru / Hotel Westside non-financial anti-crisis measures in 2008/2009

The goal of my thesis is to analyze anti-crisis measures of the hotel Westside located in the United States of America. The first chapter explains theoretical approaches to crisis and its impacts. It depicts crisis management approaches to successful crisis managing. In the next part of my thesis I look closer at the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis. I tried to show details of subprime mortgage crisis spreading into the financial sector and also its impacts on tourism industry. The last chapter of my thesis compares theoretical approaches with the real steps in the crisis. After analyzing the real hotel behavior, I can conclude the hotel managed the crisis successfully. Right identification of the crisis, choosing effective price strategy and additional financial resource utilization contributed to smooth managing of the crisis. There were mistakes made by human resources department. They made the impact of the crisis on the hotel bigger but their realizing taught the management of the hotel how to behave in the future.
