The aim of this diploma work was to analyze a selected segment of the stock exchange market using the theory of market efficiency and the methods of technical and fundamental analysis, to form an optimal investment strategy on the basis of the findings. The American stock exchange market was analyzed. Six different segments of the capital market were selected ? gold, oil and gas pipelines, steel and iron, car parts, food and telecommunication services. Each segment was represented by eight companies. The general characteristics of the companies were compared according to their profits, degree of risk, alpha and beta coefficients. Fundamental analysis was used to monitor the correlation between future profits for 2012 and alpha coefficients for the period 2007 ? 2011. The theory was proven ? at low levels of future profits, high levels of alpha coefficients were measured and vice versa - at high levels of future profits, low levels of alpha coefficients were measured. During efficiency tests, runs tests and correlation tests were monitored. During runs tests, the number of turns of a real file was compared with the number of runs of a simulated file; no distinctive variances were identified in the monitored stock titles. Forms of market efficiency were proven during the correlation tests and runs tests. The methods of technical analysis used were sliding averages, RSI indicators and Momentum. Trading on the basis of technical analysis is not completely possible because we did not succeed in finding an existing optimal strategy. If an optimal strategy works out it is regardless of the segment?s characteristics. I recommend a passive strategy with regards to the fundamental analysis.

The thesis gives an overview of the segments related to real estate economics and the real estate markets in the area of Třeboňsko with the focus on private recreational properties, too. The area of interest is divided to the Lomnice nad Lužnicí, Třeboň, Chlum u Třeboně and Suchdol nad Lužnicí municipalities in order to describe the natural, urban planning and technical aspects. Representatives from each segment were chosen to be examined closely and compared with the others. The thesis also describes the current trends in the real estate market of recreational properties.

Previous issue date: 2015-09-29 / This study, of which main objective was to comparative analyze the competitive of agribusiness cooperatives in Western Parana State, presented a new methodological procedure for cooperatives competitiveness analysis: cluster analysis or grouping. Cluster analysis or clustering was used to classify hierarchically in categories of clusters and measure the degree of competitiveness of cooperatives under study. To be able to measure the degree of competitiveness of cooperatives, it became necessary to determine variables, which together produced a magnitude that, similarly, set the proximity or remoteness of established standards. To measure greatness, it was examined, firstly, a set of 15 variables of economic and financial competitive, later, 16 variables of technological competitive production and another 5 variables of markets, some of the quantitative type and others qualitative/ dichotomous which aimed to characterize the competitive performance of each of the agro-industrial cooperatives in western Parana State. The guiding hypothesis said that cooperatives are not competitive compared to when acting business standards established in this study, which was found from the results. Therefore, considering that the lowest average Euclidean distance achieved in relation to established standards, was 3.969 by C.VALE cooperative, demonstrating a significant distance to the established standards. The results achieved by the cooperatives, in the aspects of hierarchical classification through dendogram graph (tree) demonstrated that cooperatives, in relationships with others, show significant disparities, that is, allow to allude that the actions of cooperation between them, shortly happen. The aspects of competitiveness measures, pointed to the COPACOL cooperative as the most competitive in the economic and financial profile; for the profile production technology, presented C.VALE cooperative and in the profile markets environment, the most competitive is the COOPAVEL cooperative. Finally, it considers the ability to compete in the market the necessary condition to which such cooperatives in the future. / Este estudo, cujo objetivo geral foi o de analisar comparativamente a competitividade das cooperativas agroindustriais, do Oeste do Paraná, apresentou um novo procedimento metodológico de análise de competitividade de cooperativas: a análise de cluster ou agrupamento. A análise de cluster ou de agrupamento serviu para classificar hierarquicamente em categorias de agrupamentos e medir o grau de competitividade das cooperativas em estudo. Para ser possível medir o grau de competitividade das cooperativas, fez-se necessário determinar variáveis, que no seu conjunto, produziram uma grandeza que, analogamente, definiu a proximidade ou afastamento de padrões pré-estabelecidos. Para mensuração da grandeza, examinou-se, primeiramente, um conjunto de 15 variáveis econômico-financeiras, posteriormente, 16 variáveis de tecnologias de produção e mais 5 variáveis de mercados, umas do tipo quantitativas e outras do tipo qualitativo-dicotômicas que teve como finalidade caracterizar o desempenho competitivo de cada uma das cooperativas agroindustriais do Oeste do Paraná. A hipótese norteadora, afirmou que as cooperativas não são competitivas ao atuarem comparativamente com as empresas padrões estabelecidas neste estudo, o que se verificou, a partir dos resultados. Pois, considerando-se que a menor distância média euclidiana alcançada, em relação aos padrões estabelecidos, foi de 3,969 conseguida pela cooperativa C.VALE, o que demonstra uma distância muito significativa para os padrões estabelecidos. Os resultados alcançados pelas cooperativas, nos aspectos de classificação hierárquica, através do gráfico dendograma (árvore), demonstraram que as cooperativas, nos relacionamentos com as demais, apresentam significativas disparidades, ou seja, permitem aludir que as ações de cooperação entre elas, pouco acontecem. Nos aspectos de medidas de competitividade, apontaram para a cooperativa COPACOL como a mais competitiva, no perfil econômico-financeiro; para o perfil tecnologia de produção, apresentou-se a cooperativa C.VALE e, no perfil de mercados, a mais competitiva é a cooperativa COOPAVEL. Por fim, considera-se a capacidade de competir no mercado a condição necessária à permanência dessas cooperativas no futuro.

Previous issue date: 2012-12-12 / This paper aims to apply the theoretical framework Wright-Pickton in Competitive Intelligence (CI) to the reality of this practice in Brazilian companies of the telecommunications industry, in order to create a diagnostic of the current situation of CI and improve the theoretical model, seeking to make it more accurate to evaluate CI processes in organizations. From this diagnosis, some recommendations for the CI function upgrading were made as a product of this dissertation, making it fundamental for the decision-making process. It was used the same methodology of an article published in 2009 that investigated the reality of CI activities on retail banks in United Kingdom from the same framework. In this study, the focus was the telecommunications industry, covering the entire value chain. The information collection was based on interviews with executives that lead departments or functions related to the Competitive Intelligence concept. As a final result, it was realized that the aspects of data collection and CI outputs use were the most distant from the ideal situation considered by the framework, attributes that can be improved to make a better connection of the practice with the company strategy. / Este trabalho aplicou o framework teórico de Wright-Pickton em Inteligência Competitiva (IC) na realidade da prática em empresas brasileiras da indústria de telecomunicações, a fim de gerar um diagnóstico da atual situação de IC e contribuir com o aperfeiçoamento do modelo teórico, buscando torna-lo mais preciso para a avaliação de processos de IC nas organizações. A partir deste diagnóstico, algumas recomendações gerenciais para o aprimoramento da função de Inteligência Competitiva, tornando-a vital para o processo de tomada de decisões estratégicas, foram realizadas como produto do estudo. O trabalho seguiu a metodologia de um artigo publicado em 2009, que investigou a realidade da função de Inteligência Competitiva de bancos de varejo no Reino Unido sob o mesmo framework de análise. Neste estudo, o foco foi a indústria de telecomunicações, abrangendo toda sua cadeia de valor. A coleta de informações deu-se por meio de entrevistas em profundidade com executivos que lideram áreas ou funções similares ao conceito de Inteligência Competitiva nas organizações. Como resultado final, percebeu-se que os aspectos coleta de dados e utilização dos outputs de IC são os que estão mais distantes do considerado ideal pelo framework, pontos que podem ser melhorados para tornar a prática mais próxima possível da estratégia da companhia.

The work analyzes market of public relations in the Czech Republic in the period from 2013 to 2015 based on the available data. Data come from research for The Association of PR Agencies (APRA) and from the balance sheets of selected agencies. The main hypothesis says, there is a monopolistic competition on the Czech market of PR agencies, because there is homogenous product, a large number of agencies, no entry barriers and agencies don´t have market power. I tested the hypothesis by calculating the Concentration coefficient and the Herfindahl Hirschman Index. Both methods confirmed the main hypothesis of monopolistic competition in this market. Work also includes the TOP 10 of PR agencies in the Czech market according to turnovers. It shows that the largest agency in the 2013 was Bison & Rose and in 2014 and 2015 it was AMI Communications. I also compared the changes in income and in prices of services by agencies that are members of APRA. So I can say that between the period from 2013 to 2015 there was a 18% growth in income of agencies, which was caused by higher quality of orders and not by raising prices.

This thesis is concerned with analysis of the mobile operators in the Czech Republic. Introduction part of thesis is devoted to the explanation of the key indicators which are used by mobile operators to analyze the rate of customer churn, or average revenue per user, or the customer value. Very importat is also a comparison of price consumption baskets in the Czech Republic with the other countries. The situation has changed dramatically offering unlimited tariffs in the already fully saturated market. In the practical part of this thesis I have focused on a detailed analysis of customers data in Vodafone company a I have reviewed the current offer of affordable tariffs and data services. I tried to implement new tariffs based on a real information of all customers - individuals over a period of 3 months. The aim of the thesis is to propose tariffs and services for customers, which would maintain the current customer base or which would increase the base slightly.
