Esta dissertação tem como objetivo apresentar e discutir a obra de Aurélio Martinez Flores. Arquiteto mexicano que veio ao Brasil no inicio da década de 60 para supervisionar a fabricação de móveis da Knoll pela Loja Forma. Seu objetivo inicial era permanecer três meses em São Paulo, mas atuou 55 anos no país e gerou uma importante produção arquitetônica que mescla Brasil e México em sua obra. Este trabalho analisa as obras de Aurélio Martinez Flores buscando percorrer toda a sua produção no Brasil desde sua saída da Loja Forma, tendo como corpo principal o estudo de cinco obras de uso comercial ou institucional. O trabalho encontra nestas obras valores que qualifi cam o arquiteto para ser mais estudado e valorizado. / The Mexican architect Aurélio Martinez Flores came to Brazil in the early 60’s for a three months period to supervise the manufacturing of Knoll furniture by Loja Forma. At the end, he stayed for 55 years in Brazil and left an important contribution to Brazilian architecture, mixing Brazilian and Mexican elements in his work. The goal of this dissertation is to present and discuss the architect work in Brazil since he left the Loja Forma. In order to achieve this goal, fi ve representative projects, commercial and institutional, are analyzed. The analysis of his projects and the lack of studies in the literature justify a deeper study of the architect’s legacy.
