Integração sistêmica em middleware. / Systemic integration middleware.

Marcos Roberto Alves Martins 29 June 2010 (has links)
This paper studies analytically the various network architectures used in industrial environments and administrative, as well as areas of convergence that led to the emergence of integration platforms that have defined corporate management solutions. Under an evolutionary approach will consider the applicability of the concepts and communication patterns of data and information that defined architectures of distributed systems. The aspects of relevance in information technology used in corporate management and industrial enabled the understanding of integration solutions based on middleware technologies.

ProCom middleware / ProCom middleware

Kunčar, Jiří January 2013 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to develop and implement parts of a middleware that provides necessary support for the execution of ProCom components on top of the real-time operating system FreeRTOS. The ProCom is a component model for embedded systems developed at Mälardalen University. The primary problem is finding an appropriate balance between the level of abstraction and thoughtful utilization of system resources in embedded devices. The defined target platform has limitations in comparison to general purpose computer. These include constraints in available resources such as memory, CPU or bandwidth together with strict requirements in terms of worst-case response time and reliability. We have to also face the problem of limited debugging facilities or their complete absence. In this project, we have examined differences between several real-time and non real- time operating systems. We focus on finding a common subset of core functions that the system must support in order to ensure adequate support for running designed components. We have also identified and tested the suitable libraries to support different types of communication especially TCP/IP. However, we are keenly aware of the limitations of used communication types for analysis of the behavior of real-time systems.

Robotics architecture frameworks, available tools and further requirements

Pordel, Mostafa, Hellström, Thomas January 2013 (has links)
For every robotics project, choosing a suitable framework and middleware for software and hardware is a challenging task which may influence the entire project. Robotics applications typically are resource constrained when it comes to computations and memory usage. They are built on different hardware platforms and applied in different domains. Therefore it is hard to introduce a common framework for all types of projects. However, in recent years several new attempts have been made and received attention from both researchers and industry. These frameworks are still under development and need to be extended. This paper discusses the different features that are needed for robotics frameworks and compares some of the available middleware and standards.

A Middleware of Wireless sensor networks for Home healthcare monitoring application : Design and implementation based on multiple module of data acquisition

Tang, Jun January 2013 (has links)
With the continued increases in the global population, a serious problem will occur in relation to an ageing population. The reason for this is that a significant number of elderly people may suffer from serial chronic diseases making it difficult for them to live independently and thus they pose a significant economic burden for both themselves and for their government. In order to solve this problem, more and more E-healthcare applications are being designed. In addition, a wide range of medical sensors exist, which can monitor almost all the important physiological parameters of the human body. However, different sensors may use different communication protocols, data units and formats. Additionally, the elderly may use more than one E-healthcare application at the same time and this can lead to problems if there is more than one data source. The project “A Middleware of Wireless sensor networks for Home healthcare monitoring application” is designed to solve these problems.  The focus of this report is on the design and implementation based on multiple modules of data acquisition. There are four data acquisition modules which include the ZigBee module, 6LowPAN module, Wi-Fi module and a Bluetooth module. Thus, multiple data acquisition module middleware supports the sensor by means of ZigBee, 6LowPAN, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The tasks of the middleware are to collect packets from sensors, perform data processing and mapping and then displaying as real-time data and finally transmitting the data to the remote server.
