Although the establishment of Presbyterianism also occurs in other southern cities of the State, is in Dourados that the Presbyterianism, through its actions in the areas of education, health, politics and, obviously the evangelization, exercises several influences in the society with current influence. / A Reforma Protestante na Inglaterra, e o Puritanismo, cujo spectrum iria permear a colonização norte-americana e marcar o protestantismo americano,são as verdadeiras raízes do presbiterianismo brasileiro que se instala no Sul de Mato Grosso. Sua inserção se dá através de um projeto missionário ousado pela conexão de ecumenismo e missões, que resulta na criação da Associação Evangélica de Catequese dos Índios do Brasil (AECI), da qual se originao projeto holístico da Missão Evangélica Caiuá, em Dourados. Embora também ocorra o estabelecimento do presbiterianismo em outras cidades ao Sul do Estado, é, em Dourados, que o presbiterianismo, através de suas ações nas áreas da educação, saúde, política e, obviamente na da evangelização, exerce influências diversas na sociedade com alcance hodierno.
