Para tanto, apresentaremos um breve percurso histórico da colonização brasileira e moçambicana, bem como o período da independência e pós-independência, além do percurso teórico sobre o romance histórico, resistência, memória, bem como a teoria sobre o espaço, nesse caso o rio, que utilizamos como ferramenta de análise. Utilizando o rio como fio condutor de nossa análise. Na obra de Borges Coelho, a análise foi feita a partir das travessias das personagens pelos rios que foram desencadeadas pela chegada da guerra civil. Fixamos nossa leitura em Leónidas Ntsato personagem que metaforiza Moçambique dividido em dois pela guerra civil e destacamos o papel do narrador neste romance. Na narrativa de Márcio Souza acompanhamos as viagens de Fernando, narrador do romance, que tem sua biografia entrelaçada aos acontecimentos que desencadearão a Cabanagem anos mais tarde. Cada um com seu estilo, os dois romancistas revisitam as agruras das duas guerras que tem como palco o Norte do Brasil e de Moçambique que são espaços periféricos desde os tempos coloniais. / In this thesis, we aim at comparatively analyzing the historical reconstruction of Cabanagem and the Mozambican Civil War in the novels Lealdade (1997), by Márcio Souza and As duas sombras do rio (2003), by João Paulo Borges Coelho. In order to do so, we present a brief historical background of Brazilian and Mozambican colonization, as well as, the periods of independence and post-independence, besides the theoretical route on historical novels, resistance, memory, and the theory of space, in this case, the river , which we use as an analytical tool. In the work of Borges Coelho, the analysis was made from the crossing of the characters by rivers that were triggered by the arrival of civil war. We focus our reading in Leonidas Ntsato, a character that metaphorizes Mozambique divided in two by civil war and we highlight the role of the narrator in this novel. In the narrative of Márcio de Souza we follow the trips of Fernando, the narrator of the novel, which has its biography interconnected with events that would trigger the Cabanagem, years later. Each one at his own style, the two novelists revisit the hardships of the two wars that have as a scenery Northern Brazil and Mozambique which are peripheral spaces since colonial times. / Dans cette thèse, nous visons à comparer la reconstruction historique de Cabanagem et La guerre civile mozambicaine das les romans Lealdade (1997), de Márcio Souza et e As duas sombras do rio (2003), Jean-Paul Borges Coelho. Nous présentons un bref historique de la colonisation du Brésil et du Mozambique ainsi que la période de l'indépendance et de l'après-indépendance, et de cours théorique de la romance, la resistence, la mémoire historique et la théorie de l'espace, dans ce cas, le fleuve , que nous utilisons comme un outil analytique. Utilisation de la rivière comme fil de notre analyse. Le travail de Borges Coelho, l'analyse a été faite à partir des croisements des personnages par les rivières qui ont été déclenchées par l'arrivée de la guerre civile. Nous avons fixé notre lecture caractère Leonidas Ntsato métaphorise Mozambique divisé en deux par la guerre civile et de mettre en évidence le rôle du narrateur dans ce roman. Dans Le lecture dee Márcio Souza nous suivons le Voyage de Fernando, le narrateur du roman, qui a sa biographie entrelacés avec des événements qui déclenchent les années Cabanagem tard. Chacun avec son style particulaire, les deux romanciers revisiter les difficultés des deux guerres qui ont mis en scène au nord du Brésil et du Mozambique qui sont des espaces périphériques depuis l'époque coloniale.
