Strategic Planning is a critical piece in all organizations today. It is responsible for developing the strategy of a company. This strategy, in turn, is of paramount importance in shaping the future of the organization. In order to achieve the desired goals it is necessary that the present actions are, in some way, fitted with what was planned for the coming years. We can not analyze, define and implement these actions without the proper management of processes that compose them. Moreover, it is also necessary to perform the analyzes that will demonstrate the company’s current situation and find the gaps that exist so that their future desires are met. In this context, it proposed an organizational development approach which was applied as a case study in NECTAR company. The result was the conception of strategic planning along with solutions to the gaps between what the company is today and what you want to be in the future become extinct

Management model for business process automation of integrated centers urban mobility.

Gonçalo, José Evaldo 08 December 2016 (has links)
Urban Mobility is one of the most important issues of our times, because it affects a significant portion of the population, strongly impacts the environmental pollution, it is a global problem and tends to get worse with increasing of population density and cities. The delivery of major infrastructure is becoming increasingly difficult and costly, requiring the use of technology and systems integration for better utilization of the existing structure. The objective of this thesis is to propose a management model for automation of integrated centers connected to cost realities, technological availability, organizational culture and political strategies of cities similar to large and mediumsized municipalities in Brazil. This model allows, among other contributions, to promote improvements in the decision making process by managers of urban mobility area through the incorporation and release of data and information within a management model to facilitate partnerships and communication among different sectors. The largest Brazilian cities are seeking to update themselves to solve their mobility problems and undergo a period of transformation. The Integrated Urban Mobility Center proposed allow to automate processes, implement new functionalities, provide information to users, share resources and reduce costs. Using tools from the Business Process Modeling (BPM) framework is the logical choice for a system that handles so many disruptions. When designing work model to incorporate new technologies and / or to make them more efficient, it is necessary to modeled it in some way. The BPM system adapts well to the needs of standardization and processes reproducibility, further enabling aggregation of multiple outputs by process. The visibility and extent of this methodology increases the life time of modeling performed on this basis. The development of mobility apps will happen rapidly in the coming years. As demonstrated, the need for automation, integration and consolidation of information corroborates with the creation of an Integrated Center. The use of the proposed systems is a way to formalize and increase the search for partnerships and facilitate collaboration both to capture as to inform, supporting the internal researches of private and public agencies.

Probabilistic Fault Management in Networked Systems

Steinert, Rebecca January 2014 (has links)
Technical advances in network communication systems (e.g. radio access networks) combined with evolving concepts based on virtualization (e.g. clouds), require new management algorithms in order to handle the increasing complexity in the network behavior and variability in the network environment. Current network management operations are primarily centralized and deterministic, and are carried out via automated scripts and manual interventions, which work for mid-sized and fairly static networks. The next generation of communication networks and systems will be of significantly larger size and complexity, and will require scalable and autonomous management algorithms in order to meet operational requirements on reliability, failure resilience, and resource-efficiency. A promising approach to address these challenges includes the development of probabilistic management algorithms, following three main design goals. The first goal relates to all aspects of scalability, ranging from efficient usage of network resources to computational efficiency. The second goal relates to adaptability in maintaining the models up-to-date for the purpose of accurately reflecting the network state. The third goal relates to reliability in the algorithm performance in the sense of improved performance predictability and simplified algorithm control. This thesis is about probabilistic approaches to fault management that follow the concepts of probabilistic network management (PNM). An overview of existing network management algorithms and methods in relation to PNM is provided. The concepts of PNM and the implications of employing PNM-algorithms are presented and discussed. Moreover, some of the practical differences of using a probabilistic fault detection algorithm compared to a deterministic method are investigated. Further, six probabilistic fault management algorithms that implement different aspects of PNM are presented. The algorithms are highly decentralized, adaptive and autonomous, and cover several problem areas, such as probabilistic fault detection and controllable detection performance; distributed and decentralized change detection in modeled link metrics; root-cause analysis in virtual overlays; event-correlation and pattern mining in data logs; and, probabilistic failure diagnosis. The probabilistic models (for a large part based on Bayesian parameter estimation) are memory-efficient and can be used and re-used for multiple purposes, such as performance monitoring, detection, and self-adjustment of the algorithm behavior. /
QC 20140509

Nástroj pro podporu spolupráce při agilním modelování a vývoji software / A Collaboration Tool for Agile Modelling and Software Development

Semmler, Jiří January 2017 (has links)
The ain of this thesis is to define and describe specific challenges occuring on the crossroard between project management and knowledge management with the focus on agile software development and agile modeling. Based on the found and verified problem it tries to find a existing solution. After that, it analyses, specifies and designs an own solution. Focusing on covering of three different perspectives makes this thesis unique. After process of design, there are technologies defined. For all used technologies there is described detailed implementation of the application. The third-party technologies are connected in this application. This connection creates the extra added value for the application and user in processes of agile software development and agile modeling.
