O objetivo é obter melhoria nos ajustes de modelos aos diferentes tipos de dados. Algumas áreas importantes com esse objetivo são confiabilidade e análise de sobrevivência. Além disso, novas técnicas de otimização, como a metaheurística, implementadas em software gratuitos como o R, conjuntamente com o avanços computacionais permitiram maior velocidade no tratamento de modelos com muitos parâmetros. Neste contexto, esta dissertação apresenta uma nova família de distribuição e um novo modelo com cinco parâmetros. A nova família foi baseada no gerador de Alzaatreh, usando como distribuição base a distribuição Burr XII. Propriedades gerais para esta família foram obtidas, além de duas aplicações a dados reais de duas distribuições pertencentes à família. O novo modelo para tempo de vida foi desenvolvido a partir da composição da distribuição taxa de falha linear generalizada na família exponencializada generalizada. Algumas propriedades do modelo, como momentos ordinários, incompletos e ponderados por probabilidade e função geratriz foram obtidas. Duas aplicações a dados reais foram realizadas mostrando o potêncial da nova distribuição. / In recent decades, various authors have introduced new distributions and especially, new classes of distributions. The objective is to obtain best fitting models to the different types of data. Important areas the same objective are reliability and survival analysis. In addition, new optimization techniques, as meta-heuristics, implemented in free software as R, together with computational advances have allowed increased speed in the treatment of the models with many parameters. In this context, this thesis presents a new family of distributions and a new five-parameter model. The new family was based on the Alzaatreh’s generator, using as baseline the Burr XII distribution. General properties were obtained for this family, as well as two applications to real data of two distributions belonging to the family. The new lifetime model was developed from the composition of the generalized linear failure rate distribution in the exponentiated generalized family. Some properties of the new model as ordinary, incomplete and probability weighted moments and generating function were obtained. Two applications to real data were performed showing the potential of the new distribution.
