Technologický vývoj mozaikářského řemesla / Technological Development of the Mosaic Craft

Höferová, Jana January 2012 (has links)
Mosaic has peculiar status in art across thousands of years. Since antiquility when mosaic governed entire Mediterranean, it stood to be an active art expression till nowadays, even despite it's demandigness and costingness - not only abroad but also at our territory. So it went through the period of decrement and "degradation" of it's own technique due to increasing favour of painting in the Renaissance and lived to see it's follow-up boom in 19th century. The thesis marks geografical expansion inlay art from it's roots till the modern age and it's influence on the technique developement. Historical part is more extensive because it has not been documented more detailed so far, which it definately is worthy to be. Thanks to Viktor Foester, the inlay art was reset at the beggining of the 20th century when he and two Italian workers founded a mosaic fitting-room. The fitting-room followed a trend of establishing inlay fitting-room in other states of Europe apart from Italy on the beggining of 18th century. Although the fitting-room died out after Foester's wife death, it gave chance to the origin of Czech mosaic art which persists till nowadays. The second part describes changes in technology of this antique craft across centuries. Technology developement with accent on technical changes in work progress and...

Modelování náhodných mozaik / Random tessellations modeling

Seitl, Filip January 2018 (has links)
The motivation for this work comes from physics, when dealing with microstructures of polycrystalline materials. An adequate probabilistic model is a three-dimensional (3D) random tessellation. The original contribution of the author is dealing with the Gibbs-Voronoi and Gibbs- Laguerre tessellations in 3D, where the latter model is completely new. The energy function of the underlying Gibbs point process reflects interactions between geometrical characteristics of grains. The aim is the simulation, parameter estimation and degree-of-fit testing. Mathematical background for the methods is described and numerical results based on simulated data are presented in the form of tables and graphs. The interpretation of results confirms that the Gibbs-Laguerre model is promising for further investigation and applications.

Taisyklingų mozaikų kūrimas / Regular tessellation design

Lavrinovič, Natalija 11 June 2004 (has links)
In this work the possibilities of plain tessellation design are investigated. The structure of tessellation is extremely complicated therefore their creation without computer is difficult and requires special knowledge. Specialized computer software may be successfully used as an efficient instrument in this design process. This investigation consist of: § The history of tessellation § Types of tessellation § Tessellation of Escher type § Practical applications of tessellation § Computer software for tessellation design In this work the computer program for tessellation design and some experiments are presented. Appendixes contain the examples of created tessellation and program code.

Zobecněné náhodné mozaiky, jejich vlastnosti, simulace a aplikace / Generalized random tessellations, their properties, simulation and applications

Jahn, Daniel January 2019 (has links)
The past few years have seen advances in modelling of polycrystalline materi- als using parametric tessellation models from stochastic geometry. A promising class of tessellations, the Gibbs-type tessellation, allows the user to specify a great variety of properties through the energy function. This text focuses solely on tetrahedrizations, a three-dimensional tessellation composed of tetrahedra. The existing results for two-dimensional Delaunay triangulations are extended to the case of three-dimensional Laguerre tetrahedrization. We provide a proof of existence, a C++ implementation of the MCMC simulation and estimation of the models parameters through maximum pseudolikelihood. 1

"Střípky safari"- mozaikové obrazy, diptych / "Crocks of Safari"-mosaic images, a diptych

DOULÍKOVÁ, Radka January 2010 (has links)
My graduation thesis is called {\clq}qCrocks of Safari`` and it is divided into two main segments. The First part is theoretical which explains my inspiration, choice of theme and material, method of working - starting with design, ending with final artwork and its installation. It also considers the techniques of mosaic creation. It includes image documentation, which enriches and completes the text. The Second part is practical which includes its own graphic creation. That is two mosaic images made out of combined material {--} ceramics and glass (mirror) inserted into a metal frame. It features graphic structures and elements of an African fauna. It specifically interprets cut outs from herd of zebras and their typical stripes. My goal was to create abstract images where you can feel the character of used material and harmony of natural structures.

Vytváření nanostruktur na površích pevných látek hybridními metodami / CREATION OF NANOSTRUCTURES ON SURFACES OF SOLID MATTER USING HYBRID METHODS

Rudolfová, Zdena January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with the study of GaAs surface properties and with methodology of metal (mainly gold) nanoparticles deposition on GaAs substrate. GaAs has complicated surface oxides structure, which are very reactive when exposed to various chemicals (both acids and alkalines) and therefore they change GaAs surface properties. That is why the study of this properties is crucial for understanding of GaAs surface reactions on metal particles colloidal solution, from which the nanoparticles are deposited on the surface. The possibilites of GaAs surface etching and passivation are discussed. These should lead to surface stability enhancement during colloidal nanoparticles deposition. There was also studied the influence of adhesive polymer monolayer grown on GaAs substrate to the amount of nanoparticles deposited to the surface after substrate immersion into colloidal solution. This thesis concentrates on analyzing of methods, how the gold colloidal nanoparticles can be deposited selectivelly, only to defined areas. The areas were defined using charged particle beam.

Rané křesťanství a jeho zobrazení trojjediného boha / Earl christianity and vizualization trinity of Got

Činátl, Jiří January 2017 (has links)
Though the trinitarian iconography is fairly easy to understand, it remains with many of the 4th and 5th century works it is unclear and difficult to explain. In the literature of the last century, we often encounter ideas that have been absorbed in older works and subsequently only mechanically repeated in subsequent works. Such a way of interpreting can lead to controversial iconographic analyzes in order to focus in a trinitarian way and to attempt in a tricky way to explain the iconography of "non-trivial" artefacts. This diploma thesis attempts to open a difficult question of the origin, development and interaction of individual types of symbols representing the Trinity. The aim of this work is to mark the effort of a complex view, which will try, especially with similar motives and symbols, to lead to a more precise interpretation and classification within the framework of trinitarian iconography. The main aim of this diploma thesis is the effort of theological, artistic, historical and philosophical grasp of the issue of the image of God in the first millennium of the Christian faith. Due to the vastness and considerable lack of clarity of this topic, the work is conceived with a focus on the first millennium of Christianity. Many examples of depictions and symbolic references to the Triune...

Náhodné mozaiky a jejich statistická analýza / Random tessellations and their statistical analysis

Vook, Peter January 2021 (has links)
Statistical aspects of random mosaics have not been heretofore given enough attention. This thesis deals with the derivation of estimators and statistical tests in a three-dimensional Poisson-Voronoi mosaic model. The first chapter compiles elementary results in the fields of point processes, random closed sets and particle processes. These are used in a second chapter to deduce geometric properties of random mosaics. The third chapter introduces the statistical research itself, estimators and model tests. Horvitz- Thompson estimator is introduced in order to correct statistics calculated on a reduced sample. Own results are tried in a computer simulation and compared to existing research in the last chapter. Mainly, the quality of estimators and the power of proposed tests is observed. 1

Molekulárně cytogenetická analýza marker chromozomů a příbuzných abnormalit / Molecular cytogenetic analysis of marker chromosomes and related abnormalities

Semanko, Adam January 2011 (has links)
The primary focus of this diploma thesis is on marker chromosomes and phenotypically similar human karyotype polymorphisms, variants of short acrocentric arms in particular. The first half provides a very useful review of literature concerning different aspects of both sSMC and human polymorphisms such as their origin, inheritance, associated phenotype, formation and molecular cytogenetic methods that are applied in the process of identification of these aberrations. The methodical emphasis is on FISH and its modifications (e.g. M-FISH, acro M FISH, cen M-FISH) as well as on the CGH methods. The main objective was to test the above-mentioned methods and state their limitations and applications. Thus, in the other half we provide evaluations of commonly used methods and introduce new strategies that could be implemented to make the identification of these additional chromosomes or satellite translocations more effective. All the conclusions are based on the analysis of 7 patients with sSMC and 4 patients with variants involving acrocentric NOR regions. The results of our thorough research into their karyotypes have been compared with similar findings in the literature. Last but not least, we tried to establish a link between observed abnormalities and the type of a chromosomal aberration at hand.
