Segmentace nádorů mozku v MRI datech s využitím hloubkového učení / Segmentation of brain tumours in MRI images using deep learning

Ustsinau, Usevalad January 2020 (has links)
The following master's thesis paper equipped with a short description of CT scans and MR images and the main differences between them, explanation of the structure of convolutional neural networks and how they implemented into biomedical image analysis, besides it was taken a popular modification of U-Net and tested on two loss-functions. As far as segmentation quality plays a highly important role for doctors, in experiment part it was paid significant attention to training quality and prediction results of the model. The experiment has shown the effectiveness of the provided algorithm and performed 100 training cases with the following analysis through the similarity. The proposed outcome gives us certain ideas for future improving the quality of image segmentation via deep learning techniques.

Container Orchestration in Security Demanding Environments at the Swedish Police Authority

Abdelmassih, Christian January 2018 (has links)
The adoption of containers and container orchestration in cloud computing is motivated by many aspects, from technical and organizational to economic gains. In this climate, even security demanding organizations are interested in such technologies but need reassurance that their requirements can be satisfied. The purpose of this thesis was to investigate how separation of applications could be achieved with Docker and Kubernetes such that it may satisfy the demands of the Swedish Police Authority. The investigation consisted of a literature study of research papers and official documentation as well as a technical study of iterative creation of Kubernetes clusters with various changes. A model was defined to represent the requirements for the ideal separation. In addition, a system was introduced to classify the separation requirements of the applications. The result of this thesis consists of three architectural proposals for achieving segmentation of Kubernetes cluster networking, two proposed systems to realize the segmentation, and one strategy for providing host-based separation between containers. Each proposal was evaluated and discussed with regard to suitability and risks for the Authority and parties with similar demands. The thesis concludes that a versatile application isolation can be achieved in Docker and Kubernetes. Therefore, the technologies can provide a sufficient degree of separation to be used in security demanding environments.

Due to aging and depreciation of the water distribution network components, leaks and ruptures are common on the water network. These cause the water loss, sometimes the water contamination and the discontinuity in water supply, due the supply interruption during the infrastructure repair, as well as reduction of available water in the system, causing the users' dissatisfaction. In these cases, network segmentation makes any maintenance activity easy and this achieves a smaller number of consuming units by water supply interruption. However, besides the high valves allocation cost, the Brazilian norms about network segmentation relate only technical issues that must be followed. Therefore, a network segmentation model, which takes into account the characteristics of consumer units, is proposed. It aims a network segmentation which complied the restrictions provided by law, it seeks the maximum benefit to consumer units, generated by the segmentation, and it seeks minimum number of valves required, i.e., the costs. To measure the impact on water lack is generated a priority index which adds the characteristics of consuming units via a multicriteria aggregation method, the SMARTER. The simulations realized showed that only the initial valves allocation, by the NBR 12218/94, does not guarantee the maximization of the benefits generated by the network segmentation for users. In this case, with the proposed model, better solutions can be found.
