This thesis is dedicated to the creation of Balanced Scorecard for three nursery schools in Prague 9. The aim is the application of BSC in the nonprofit sector and its use in the current operation of these organizations. The theoretical part deals with the strategy, method Balaced Scorecard and also the characteristics of the nonprofit sector. In the practical part describes the kindergarten both in terms of legal, economic, but also their specifics. The practical part continues with PEST analysis, Porter analysis and SWOT analysis. The largest part is devoted to the creation of Balanced Scorecard, including evaluation and strategic map.

The theme of this thesis is financing, accounting and economy specifics of allowance organizations. The goal of this thesis is to prove that the activities of these organizations are not possible without the resources supplied from public budget. The theoretical part is dedicated to the non-profit sector and the definition of non-profit organizations. In more detail attends the thesis to the characteristics, financial relations and economy specifics of both types of allowance organizations -- founded by the state and by territorial authorities. The practical part is focused on the activity of a specific allowance organization in the field of social services. After the organisation is introduced follows an analysis of financial resources and its economy analysis throughout the period of five years.

The aim of my diploma thesis is to analyze the motivation of volunteers at Greenpeace. The theoretical part offers a consistent overview of theoretical propositions related to the chosen topic. In the practical part an empirical survey focused on two target groups was conducted. One target group is made up by volunteers from the Czech subsidiary of the international Greenpeace organization and the other target group is the Czech public. The most important goal of the survey was to get deeper insight into the motives, expectations and satisfaction of volunteers at Greenpeace and those who are active in other comparable organizations. On the basis of collected information similarities and differences between both target groups were identified and recommendations for employees of the Czech subsidiary of Greenpeace regarding the further cooperation with volunteers were formulated.

The title of my thesis is "The potential of non-profit organizations in increasing the financial literacy of citizens". The goal of my thesis is to analyze and evaluate the activity of non-profit organizations in increasing the financial literacy of citizens. It is also focusing on the relation between the government, the for-profit and the non-profit sector in the field of financial literacy. I divided my thesis into six chapters. In the first chapter I defined the research problem, set the goals of my thesis and defined the research questions. In the second chapter I focused on the methodology and the definition of my information resources. For the purpose of this thesis I chose the semi-standardized interview, the analysis of participants and the analysis of documents. In the second part of this chapter I made the review of the information resources which I used for this thesis. My thesis is based on the theory of "the triangle" of the market, the government and the civil society, the concept of the social accounting and the benefits and failures of the non-profit sector. First I focused on the government policy in the field of increasing the financial literacy of citizens. The thesis describes and analyzes the strategies by which organizations in the non-profit and profit sector fight against ethnic discrimination on the example of employment. The first part deals with general discrimination in the labor market in the context of civil society. The topic is discussed in more depth up to the individual concepts of discrimination, discrimination in the labor market, ethnicity, and ethnic discrimination. The second part compares how non-profit organizations and the advertising market organizations as representatives of the profit sector fight against ethnic discrimination in the process of gaining employment. The thesis aims to reveal and further compare the strategies of the concrete non-profit and profit organizations against discrimination by using the theory of the relationship between the civil sector and the market, the theory of heterogeneity.

Práce v neziskovém sektoru jako další kariérní výzva / Working in non-profit sector as a new career challenge

This work is aimed to find out what are the motives of people to cross from for-profit to non- profit sector and what life experiences and opinions of those who work in both sectors are. The work examines whether the sectors are different (and how) and whether they can feel some change after being and working in both sectors. Conceptual section places the issue in a broader context, which presents key concepts related to the topic. This explained through the literature, while also bringing some research on work motivation. In the empirical part I analyze the testimony of five respondents, with analysis divided into four thematic blocks. I analyze here the start of their careers, how they feel about career as a word, what means to them. After that I analyze their motives to cross from for-profit to the nonprofit sector, as well as their own comparison between the two sectors. In the last part of my work I slightly analyze their philosophy of life and I also ask about the career and how they think their career could continue. In other chapters, I bring my research results and their comparison with the submitted literature.

This diploma thesis is focused on corporate volunteering as a form of Corporate Social Responsibility fulfillment. The subject of its first chapter is introduction of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) concept. The second chapter is dedicated to volunteering - to its history, legislation and researches that have been realized within this field. In the third chapter, there are introduced forms of corporate volunteering. The next part is focused on motives leading to involvement in projects of corporate volunteering and on researches mapping involvement of the Czech society in corporate volunteering. In the next part of the thesis, there are presented and interpreted outcomes of an empiric research that was focused on benefits of corporate volunteering ascribed by corporate volunteers. The diploma thesis is divided into the conceptual and research part (including the methodological part). The conceptual part of the diploma thesis deals first with description of individual sectors and the relations between them. It also deals with the general concepts that are related to the given issue as a human resources management and its individual components.
