The Master’s thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial situation in the company BOTAS, a. s. in the years 2003 – 2008. It determines strong and weak sides of the financial management through the chosen methods of the financial analysis. On the ground of these results it formulates the proposals improving contemporary financial situation in the company.

The diploma thesis focuses on evaluation of the financial situation’s company. Used methods are financial indexes, site and bankruptcy indexes. The first thesis’ part analyze theoretical fundamentals of these methods, in the second part is the company introduced. The third part is an application of financial methods. In the last part there is a summary of a financial situation and proposals to its improvement.

The aim of this work is to analyze economic data, using regression analysis to assess prognosis and to draw conclusions, which should serve the company for a stable and economic growth.

The Master’s thesis is focused on evaluating the performance of the company Visimpex use of financial and economic indicators and describes the design of a method implementation Balanced Scorecard in the company. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on defining the basic concepts of financial analysis, describes the selected indicators and methods of financial analysis and describes the concept of Balanced Scorecard method and the procedure for its implementation. In the practical part the company Visimpex, there is an assessment of the current state of society through selected financial indicators and drafted the implementation of the concept of Balanced Scorecard in the company. In the final part, there is a summary of the potential risks and expected benefits of this method for the analyzed company.

This master thesis focuses on application of statistical methods in the processing of data. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical foundations that are the basis for the practical part. Next part of this thesis describes the statistical and financial analysis and also design of an application that automate usage of statistical methods of regression analysis to predict the future economic situation development of the company. This thesis contains theory of time series methods and regression analysis.

The dissertation consist of two parts a theoretical and practical. The theoretical part includes facts from shollars targeting on characteristic of stock, division, function, managing and basic idicators of stock Evaluation of the Financial Situation in the Construction Company shows and uses methods and tools leading to examination of financial situation of this company. Essence of financial analysis is evaluation of present-state and past development on the base of financial statement analysis. In the end of my dissertation I will bring some suggestions and recommendations which could improve the current situation in the realm of managing of stock.

The subject of this master’s thesis is to analyze and evaluate the economic indicators of selected company and comparison of these indicators with the nearest competitors. The thesis is divided into three main sections. First part is theoretical and contains information about used economical and statistical terms. Second part contains of analysis of economic indicators, comparison of actual and predicted values and comparison with the nearest competitors. In order to predict future values of indicators, on selected indicators appropriate regression function has been applied. The last part of thesis contains of program created by using VBA in MS Excel, which is designed to calculate the economic indicators, and the part containing proposals for improving the situation of company.
