Design a MIMO printed dipole antenna for 5G sub-band applications

Najim, H.S., Mosleh, M.F., Abd-Alhameed, Raed 05 November 2022 (has links)
Yes / In this paper, a planar multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) dipole antenna for a future sub-6 GHz 5G application is proposed. The planar MIMO structure consists of 4 antenna elements with an overall size of 150×82×1 mm3. The single antenna element is characterized by a size of 32.5×33.7×1 mm3 printed on an FR-4 dielectric substrate with εr=4.4 and tanδ=0.02. The suggested antenna structure exhibits good impedance bandwidth equal to 3.24 GHz starting from 3.3 to 6.6 GHz with an S11 value of less than -10 dB (S11≤-10 dB) with antenna gain varying from 5.2 up to 7.05 dB in the entire band, which covers all the sub-6 GHz frequency band of the 5G application. Good isolation is achieved between the MIMO elements due to low surface waves inside the MIMO antenna substrate. The radiation of the MIMO antenna structure can be manipulated and many beam-types can be achieved as desired. The high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS) software package is used to design and simulate the proposed structure, while the CST MWS is used to validate the results.

Návrh anténní řady pro MSPS radar pracující v pásmu L / Design of antenna array for MSPS radar operating in L-band

Gaja, Tomáš January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with the design of an antenna array for the MSPS Radar L band application. The introduction covers a research for a suitable antenna element which can be used as an element of steerable antenna array. The control of the main beam is enabled in the vertical plane. Based on a presented theory, a slotted waveguide antenna array with an omnidirectional radiation in the vertical plane is designed. The operating frequency is set to 1 367.5 MHz. Slotted array achieves 20° width of the main beam in elevation plane. The achieved gain of the array is 9.15 dBi. Further attention of this work is focused on the beam steering that is allowed by diode switching. The last part of the thesis presents manufacturing process of the designed model. The CST Microwave Studio software was used for the antenna array designing process.

Návrh anténní jednotky přístupového bodu pro off-body komunikaci v ISM pásmu 61 GHz / Design of the antenna unit of access point for off-body communication in the 61 GHz ISM band

Miřácký, Jan January 2015 (has links)
The Master´s thesis deals with the theoretical design, practical numerical analyses and optimalization of disc-like antenna and disc-like slot antenna. The antennas have relative omnidirectional radiation characteristics in the horizontal plane, respectively in the vertical plane. Antennas exploit the substrate integrated waveguide technology. The antennas themselves are designed for the purpose of making the antenna array that will be work as an antenna unit for access point. The antennas are manufactured and experimentally verified. The program CST Microwave Studio is used for simulation in the thesis.
