Resursbaserad teori : Ett strategiskt verktyg för finansiell framgång? / Resource-based theory : - A strategic instrument to achieve financial success?

Jonsson, Ludwig, Karlsson, Jens January 2011 (has links)
Nyckelord:                         Resursbaserad teori, ”outside-in”-perspektiv konkurrensfördelar, resurser och capabilities

Hong Kong-the Equity Marker outside Mainland China: from Taiwan Corporation¡¦s Perspective

Huei-chuan Fan, Melody 15 July 2008 (has links)
In recent decade, Taiwan Business involvement in China is one of the key factors for China¡¦s gearing economic development, under the inevitable economic globalization. Taiwan enterprises play an important role in international division of labor for most of them possess competitive advantages including expertise in international trading and strict control on cost which in turn helps facilitating the rapid growth in the Greater China economic region. China is experiencing large amplitude of economic acceleration fed by the huge internal demand triggers off an investment boom from within and from the outside world. Many Taiwan enterprises encounter difficulties in financing through banks in China, while headquarters in Taiwan are also bounded by the stated law that Taiwan investment in China cannot exceed a maximum of 40%. In 2004, CEPA was signed between Mainland China and Hong Kong. This provides a solution for Taiwan enterprises to finance through Hong Kong¡¦s capital market and brings about the Mainland China business to be more internationalized. Since then, Hong Kong becomes a channel for Mainland China enterprises to finance themselves internationally. As a result, Mainland China not only attracts tremendous cash flows globally, it also enhances its market scale through favorable transaction and P/E rate. Simultaneously, more and more Mainland China and Taiwan enterprises are listed in the Hong Kong stock market. The decision to choose a right place to list a company has deep and profound influence. Every enterprise conserves its strategic correctness by every means, when such decision is to be made. Yet, the operation of a capital market is clearly a complex and the difficulties are further intensified by numerous mediating and intermediating factors. Therefore, it is significant for Taiwan enterprises to achieve an optimum that may well synchronize with its long term business development and business operation strategy within its macro business web. This research is going to study the Hong Kong stock market from past bibliographies and documents. In addition, by implementing comparative research method, this research is going to compare the Hong Kong and Taiwan stock markets in various areas: 1)The history and the structure of the securities markets in Hong Kong and Taiwan 2)The condition of securities transaction in Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited and Taiwan Stock Exchange 3)The condition of Taiwan enterprises becoming a listed company in Hong Kong and Taiwan 4)The underwriting system of IPO in Hong Kong and Taiwan Through collective discussion, this paper will induce crucial factors affecting Taiwan enterprises to choose a place for public offering. The result was that large scale Taiwan enterprises prioritized international capital involvement as the most important factor while small and medium size Taiwan enterprises emphasized on the ability to finance and to re-finance. To apply, this research also includes case studies on three Taiwan enterprises list in Hong Kong, ranging in different scales. The case study will investigate why these enterprises chose Hong Kong for public offering and what were the factors concerned. The conclusion and suggestions provided by this research would serve as a reference for Taiwan enterprises to choose a right place for public offering; it is also a reference for the newly commenced Taiwan Government Administration to improve the economy, with the hope to create a favorable investing environment to pull back Taiwan or other enterprises to be listed in Taiwan.

Turkey, domestic norms, and Outside Turks : Kosovar Turks' quandary with post-Kemalist norms

Tabak, Husrev January 2015 (has links)
This thesis is about foreign policy analysis and what it could learn from an examination of Turkey's Outside Turks policy. More specifically, the thesis explores the implications of the post-Kemalist changes in Turkey on Outside Turks communities in the case of Kosovar Turks and offers a norm-based analysis of the constitutive relationship between domestic politics and foreign policy formation and conduct. Throughout the thesis, accordingly, the domestic norms guiding the way Turkey approaches Outside Turks, the conduct of domestic norms-guided Outside Turks policy and, finally, the implications of such policy for the Kosovar Turks are explored. Based on this, the study establishes firstly that the traditional policy of transforming the religiously defined Turkish speaking Muslim communities in the surrounding countries to nationally thinking and acting ethnic Turkish communities has changed after 1980s, but particularly during the Justice and Development Party rule. The aspiration shifted towards imagining Outside Turks in cultural and religious lines, other than in purely ethnic sense. Thus invoking and safeguarding the practice of Muslim identity, history and culture became a priority concern in the Outside Turks policy agenda. The thesis secondly establishes that this shift in approach has been generated by four post-Kemalist norms, namely Ottomania, de-ethnicized nationhood, Turkish Islam, and Islamic Internationalism. These post-Kemalist norms have manifested themselves as practices of transforming the ethnically mobilized and behaving Turkish community in Kosovo as religiously and historico-culturally thinking and acting community. The thesis thirdly establishes that the post-Kemalist approach to the Outside Turk community in Kosovo has been constitutive for the community. Accordingly, Turkey’s anti-nationalist practices and activities of restoring inter-ethnic relations in Ottoman lines have partly relieved the relations between Turks and Albanians, facilitated the transcending of ethnicity as a bases for organizing relations, and increased the scope for collaboration between Muslim communities in the country. However, such post-Kemalist policies could not deconstruct the dominant nationalist framings, it has rather been counter-productive. Therefore, due to the post-Kemalist approach, the ethnic Turkish identity has been sharpened, Ottomans have been ethnicized as a Turkish emperorship, the nationalism gained a reactionary character, and people now believe that their ethnic survival is jeopardized by Turkey’s anti-nationalism or ‘anti-Turkism’ as the community calls it. This in return has led the community to further embrace Kemalist frames and discourses to resist Turkey’s post-Kemalist approach and norms. The thesis, consequently, introduced a norm-based foreign policy analysis model for examining the overseas implications and influences of domestic norms and norm changes.

Mediation as an alternative to litigation: A comparative study between South Africa and Germany

Öztunali, Timur Mete January 2019 (has links)
Magister Legum - LLM / The judicial court system in South Africa is overburdened, which results in parties having to wait for long periods of time to have their matters settled or even heard. Furthermore, the cost of litigation in South Africa is immense, which prevents the biggest part of the population from access to justice in line with s 34 of the Constitution of 1996. Therefore, alternative methods of dispute resolution are worth looking into. This paper will compare the mediation system of South Africa with that of Germany. This will allow for a better insight in regard to mediation within South Africa, which can help to address the above stated problems.
