Therefore, this work begins with the study of the origins of childhood, by relating the rise of literature for children with the history of narrative and poetry for children in Brazil and Rio Grande do Sul. Later on, the concept of poetry and the specificity of children's poetry is studied, as well as the corpus of themes and trends that moves the young reader. From the theoretical reference, the selection and analysis of the poems listed in the corpus of works is done. Then, as a result of the research, it is presented a anthology of poems, which is enclosed. This selection is based on theoretical studies and resulted in a total of 48 poems, divided into six thematic trends. Also enclosed, there is a list of pieces of children’s poetry written in Rio Grande do Sul, organized by date of publication, author, place of publication and publisher. / O trabalho intitulado Poesia infantil no Rio Grande do Sul tem por objetivo levantar os poemas infantis no Estado, bem como os autores que se dedicaram a escrever para o público infantil, de modo a organizar um catálogo exaustivo dessa literatura. Para tanto, o trabalho inicia com o estudo do surgimento da infância, estabelecendo uma relação com o aparecimento da produção literária infantil e com a história da narrativa e da poesia infantil no Brasil e no Rio Grande do Sul. Em seguida, são tratados conceitos de poesia e especificidade da poesia infantil. Finalmente estuda-se o corpus da pesquisa por tendências temáticas e seus efeitos no leitor. A partir do referencial teórico, faz-se a seleção e a análise dos poemas elencados das obras do corpus e, em seguida, apresenta-se uma antologia de poemas em anexo. Tal seleção baseia-se nos estudos realizados no referencial teórico; foi selecionado um total de 48 poemas, divididos em seis tendências temáticas. Em novo anexo, apresentam-se listas das obras encontradas de poesia infantil produzidas no Rio Grande do Sul, organizadas segundo data de publicação, autor, local de edição e editora.

This paper intends to analyze the author’s poetry for children, by studying how it communicates with childhood. Characteristics and resources that build up the texts are observed, leading to the analysis of the way they talk to the young reader. In order to understand the composition of the poems and the way they communicate with childhood, theories about children, poetry and the construction of the reader in the text are referred in the analysis. The way the author’s poetry is composed, which specific characteristics and elements the texts employ and how they are built and organized so that they may communicate with childhood are matters that guide this study. The results show that there are differences in the usage of poetical resources as decades go by; thus, the author’s works are guided in different ways towards the reader, following changes in childhood and the cultural production that addresses this age. / Sérgio Capparelli é um poeta cuja trajetória se estende por três décadas: iniciou em 1983, e teve seu mais recente exemplar publicado em 2010. Este trabalho analisa a obra poética infantil do autor através do estudo sobre como sua poesia se comunica com a infância. São analisados as características e os recursos que constituem os textos, observando-se sua incidência e recorrência, e a forma como se comunicam com o leitor infantil. A fim de se entender a composição dos poemas e como eles se comunicam com a infância, teorias sobre a criança, o gênero poético e a construção do leitor conduzem a análise. O modo como a poesia do autor se compõe, quais características e elementos específicos que seus textos utilizam e como eles são compostos para se comunicarem com a infância são as questões que guiam esse trabalho. Os resultados mostram que há mudanças na utilização dos recursos poéticos em cada década, e que as obras do autor se apresentam de diferentes formas em sua relação com o leitor, acompanhando as transformações relacionadas à infância e à produção cultural a ela destinada.

With a theoretical study and an analysis of four poetic pieces considered representative (Um passarinho me contou, by José Paulo Paes, Pequenas observações sobre a vida em outros planetas, by Ricardo Silvestrin, Um gato chamado Gatinho, by Ferreira Gullar e Poesia é fruta doce e gostosa, by Elias José), the paper tracks the path poetry uses to address to the young reader, as well as to communicate with him/her. The chapters that constitute this paper approach linguistic, imagistic, and poetic voice aspects and their connection to the reader, using a group of theories that study the lyric text and children’s literature. These studies are all illustrated by an analysis of poems from the selected pieces. / O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar as características da poesia infantil contemporânea (abrangendo obras de 1996 em diante) e sua relação com o leitor-criança a que se destina. Por meio de um levantamento teórico e de um estudo de quatro obras poéticas consideradas representativas (Um passarinho me contou, de José Paulo Paes, Pequenas observações sobre a vida em outros planetas, de Ricardo Silvestrin, Um gato chamado Gatinho, de Ferreira Gullar e Poesia é fruta doce e gostosa, de Elias José), o trabalho traça o caminho da poesia ao dirigir-se ao leitor infantil e ao promover uma comunicação com ele. Os capítulos que fazem parte desta produção abordam os aspectos lingüísticos, imagéticos e a questão da voz poética em suas relações com o leitor, através do levantamento de teorias acerca do texto lírico e da produção literária infantil. Os estudos apresentados neste trabalho são ilustrados por análises dos poemas das obras selecionadas.
