To analyze the cultural importance that Pastorinhas had for the society manauara and if they are still constituted in an important popular manifestation for the city, they allows to notice us as the expansion modernizadora of the great cities influences the traditional popular cultures. In that conception, we will dialogue with the youths, fundamental for the dramatic dance of Pastorinhas, for us to understand like them link with the traditions of the past. We approach, also, the laughter and the festival humor, characteristic of the Shepherdesses party. / O trabalho propõe-se discutir a dança dramática das Pastorinhas de Manaus. Analisar a importância cultural que as Pastorinhas tiveram para a sociedade manauara e se elas ainda se constituem em uma manifestação popular importante para a cidade nos permite perceber como a expansão modernizadora das grandes cidades influencia as culturas populares tradicionais. Nessa perspectiva, dialogamos com os jovens, fundamentais para a dança dramática das Pastorinhas, para compreender como eles se relacionam com as tradições do passado. Abordamos também o riso e o humor festivos, característicos da festa das Pastoras.
