In this context, the supervised curricular stage requires the compulsory presence, according to the legislation. This research presents a methodological proposal based on George Kelly's Theory of Personal Constructs, whose objective is to analyse the contributions of the experience of the Supervised Curricular Stage V, organised and based on Kelly's Experience Cycle (KEC), towards the construction of a reflexive teacher's practice, as well as to relate the conceptions of managers and classroom teachers of stage field schools, about aspects that favor and/or difficult the performance of the graduate students in the school. Participated in the study a representative of the Executive Secretary of Education, six school principals and six classroom teachers from stage field schools, who took part in the first phase. Besides these, nineteen licentiate students from the course of Licentiate in Physics from UFRPE/UAB also participated in the second phase. The methodology used was organised as a KEC, which has five phases, allied to the work of Cooperative Group. The analysis of the results showed the need for integration between the institutions involved in the formation process of the future teacher. The reflective process started by the KEC enabled the evolution of conceptions of licentiate students/trainees, contributing to their learning.

Parma, Fabiano Willian January 2020 (has links)
(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This research aims to investigate how future physics teachers interact with academic production related to experimental activities in Physics Teaching and how they benefit of this production from it for the planning and development of internship classes. Therefore, we seek to answer two questions: what meanings are attributed by future physics teachers to the role of experimental activities? What notions of research are mobilized during the planning of the teaching activities of the internship? The context of production of this study is organized during the activities of the Supervised Internship discipline, in which the future physics teachers planned and taught a mini-course in two schools in different contexts: Technical College with high school students and an Educational Center for Youth and Adults. The research data was constituted from the speeches produced by a group of future physics teachers in different production contexts: before the teaching activity, through lesson plans; after, through questionnaires; and at the end of the Internship discipline, through the final reports; in addition to the transcripts of the reflection meetings held at the university. Data analysis was performed based on the theoretical and methodological principles of Pecheutian Discourse Analysis. Thus, the results show that when planning the activities of the Internship, the future teachers propose to carry out experimental activities from an investigative perspective, however, in their tea... Výuka středoškolských učitelů fyziky, jejichž žáci pokračují ve studiu fyziky na vysoké škole / Teaching of upper secondary school teachers whose students continue to study physics at university

Špilínková, Ivana January 2020 (has links)
The strategic goal of the research presented in this diploma thesis is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of physics teaching at secondary schools. During the research, we focused on the following two questions: Which quality parameters are typical for teaching led by physics teachers whose students continue their studies at MFF UK? How do teachers affect students gifted in physics and motivated for it? A case study was chosen as the research plan. Specifically, we focused on teaching of three teachers, whose students continue to study physics at university to an increased extent. The quantitative part, in which the pedagogical observation of teaching took place, was led as ex-post-facto research. This was followed by a qualitative part, in which semi-structured interviews were used to collect data. Thanks to them the obtained information was put in a broader context. The research results showed that fulfillment of several parameters is common for the teaching of all the teachers (e.g. physics expertise, mathematics model, abstraction, students' expressing), in other parameters their teaching differs (e.g. teaching aids, lecturing, students' interest, use of assessment) and some parameters are almost non-existent in teaching (e.g. work with text, heuristic method). Several research...

Cesty středoškolských žáků ke studiu fyziky na vysoké škole - pohled jejich učitelů fyziky / Ways of upper secondary school students to study physics at university - view of their physics teachers

Sýkora, Petr January 2021 (has links)
The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to obtain information on how Matfyz can improve its cooperation with high school students and their physics teachers to increase students' interest in physics. To obtain these information a questionnaire was sent to physics teachers, who had been mentioned by Matfyz students as teachers who had had a positive effect on them. The questionnaire itself consists of four parts - events for students, events for physics teachers, Mat- fyz activities, and teaching. The data was processed using both quantitative and qualitative methods, whereas larger part of research was build on quantitative methods. The collected data showed that according to respondents the most im- portant task is to focus on non-Prague students. Thus, organizers should organize events in various places in the Czech Republic or use modern technologies and organize events on-line (that also applies to events for physics teachers). High school students might also meet with scientists and university physics students, visit laboratories except for visitors' days (e. g. during excursions, internships) or have an opportunity to find out how physics in companies is used. Respondents expressed support for writing a new physics textbook on Matfyz, one containing more difficult parts for talented students.

An investigation of physics teachers’ technological pedagogical content knowledge and their learners’ achievement in electricity

Kotoka, Jonas Kwadzo 22 July 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to investigate physics teachers’ (TPCK) and their learners’ achievement in electricity. A purposive sample of 42 Grade 11 physics teachers and 1423 learners participated in the study. An explanatory mixed method research design was employed in the study to collect data. A survey questionnaire (PTTPCKQ), consisting of six-point Likert scale questions, was answered by participating teachers. Similarly, their learners responded to a confirmatory questionnaire (LCPTTPCKQ). The learners also responded to the Electricity Learning Confirmatory Questionnaire (LELCQ) and wrote an achievement test called Learner Electricity Achievement Test (LEAT). The data collected was analysed both quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitatively, it was found that a positive, statistically significant relationship existed between physics teachers’ experience and their learners’ achievement [Spearman’s rho (42) = .39, p = .011] as well as physics teachers’ TPCK and their qualifications [Spearman’s rho (42) = .33, p = .003]. There was also a positive statistical relationship between physics teachers’ TPCK and learner achievement, yet this was not statistically significant. There were positive, statistically significant relationships between all the constructs of the physics teachers’ TPCK and their TPCK from the analysis of the PTTPCKQ. There were positive statistically significant relationships between all the constructs of the physics teachers’ TPCK and their TPCK, according to the analysis of the LCPTTPCKQ. Furthermore, comparing the learners’ responses on the LCTTPCKQ and their teachers’ responses on the PTTPCKQ, it was found that both learners and teachers provided similar responses for all the constructs of TPCK except TCK. Qualitative data analysis further revealed that the technologies used by these teachers were PhET Simulations, YouTube Videos, Power Point Presentations, Interactive White Boards, and Mindset Videos. Finally, between 12.9% and 5.2% of the learners reported that their teachers had neglected to teach some sections of the electricity in the curriculum. / Mathematical Sciences / Ph. D.
