A turbulência do escoamento foi representada pelo modelo k-ε. As constantes padrão deste modelo foram modificadas para adequar o modelo ao escoamento turbulento no interior e acima da floresta. O escoamento em florestas foi analisado através de simulação numérica. As simulações foram efetuadas com o programa comercial FLUENT, desenvolvido pela empresa Ansys Inc.. No FLUENT foi necessário adicionar termos fontes às equações da quantidade de movimento, da energia cinética de turbulência (k) e da sua taxa de dissipação (ε), através da programação de Funções Definidas pelo Usuário. Os resultados das simulações do escoamento no interior e acima da floresta nos casos quando o vento entra e sai da floresta foram comparados com dados experimentais. Os resultados encontram-se de acordo com os dados experimentais. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This work examines the windflow within and above forests on the viewpoint of mechanics of fluids with first-order closure turbulent model. The turbulence flow was represented by k-ε turbulence model. The standard constants of model was modified for adapt the model to the turbulent flow within and above forests. The simulations were performed with the commercial program FLUENTdeveloped by Ansys Inc.. On FLUENT was necessary add sources terms to the momentum, turbulent kinetic energy (k) and its dissipation rate ε equations by programming the User-Defined Functions. The results of simulations of the windflow within and above forest on the cases when wind enter and exit the forest were compared with experimental data. The results are in agreement with the experimental data.
