Stavební plastika administrativních budov první Československé republiky / Sculptural Decoration of First Czechoslovak Republic's Administrative Buildings

Červený, Marek January 2011 (has links)
We can consider the sculptural decoration of first Czechoslovak Republic's administrative buildings to be one of the typical manifestations of its time. In its iconography it translated to its contemporaries, as well as to the future generations, the basic ideological motives which the representative, artists and major part of the society considered to be the most important for the existence of the young democratic state. Their message is so clear that even today it can be understood. This thesis discusses in the first chapter the roots of basic iconographical circles (labor, working people) in the Czech art of the end of 19th and beginning of 20th century. Afterwards it focuses on the wider conditions of European art leading to the growing interests in realistic, neo-classical art and new objectivity. Following parts are aimed on arrival of civilism into the Czech interwar art scene and discuss the terms social art, social realism and social civilism and its possible use in the scope of sculptural decoration of administrative buildings. Then continues the overview of the most important iconographical motives which penetrated into the field of the sculptural decoration with special focus on the Czechoslovak pavilion at the International exhibition of decorative arts in Paris 1925. The following...

Řešení výtvarného díla v krajině - reliéf. (Prakticko-teoretická práce) / Design and emplacement of a sculpture in the landscape

ŠINDELÁŘOVÁ, Barbara January 2010 (has links)
This thesis is focused to the ideal concept, design, implementation and em-placement of a sculpture in the respective area, designed in a deeper context of the work itself to its surroundings, its history and specific local character. To solve the emplacement of the sculpture, a scenic park surrounding the Castle at Štěkeň (South-West Bohemia) has been chosen. The design respects fully not only scenic dominants, but also neighboring architecture and vistas directly in the respective locality. A full appeal of the art work is enabled by applying convenient material re-specting its milieu and the sculpture theme itself as well. Also the onlooker´s position toward the sculpture proportions and its comprehensibility and readability has been taken in consideration. The theme and concept of the sculpture is closely connected to the Christian Or-der ?Congregatio Jesu? settled directly in the facilities of the Štěkeň Castle and related first of all to Mary Ward, its founder and to her first community of ?English Virgins? as well. A component part of this thesis is formed by a secondary pedagogic project ? a workhop meeting for children, convened in autumn 2010 directly to the Štěkeň Castle premises. It dealt with the human being´s relation to the landscape. This thesis focused to the relation between an art work and the surrounding sce-nery is concerned also to spiritual creativity from the point of view of actual cultural-social neediness respecting also the application and readability of Christian symbolism in respect to actual cultural experience.

Možnost ovlivnění chronické pooperační bolesti třísla využitím samofixačního implantátu u laparoskopické TAPP plastiky tříselné kýly / Possibility to influence chronic post-surgery inguinal pain using of self-fixating mesh in laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair

Klobušický, Pavol January 2016 (has links)
Introduction: Transabdominal laparoscopic (TAPP) approach in the therapy of inguinal hernia is a suitable alternative to classical open inguinal hernia repair mainly in the hands of an experienced surgeon. TAPP repair offers the possibility of gentle dissection with implantation of the mesh from posterior approach. Hypothesis and objectives of the work: The fixation of mesh through penetrating techniques using staples, clips or screws is associated with a significantly increased risk of developing a post-herniotomy inguinal pain syndrome (CPIP). The aim of the thesis is to review options of self-fixating meshes in laparoscopic TAPP procedure without additional fixation. Furthermore to evaluate effect of this technique on development of the chronic postoperative groin pain and also on frequency of hernia recurrence and mesh migration. Patients and methods: Data analysis included all patients, who underwent inguinal hernia surgery at our Surgical Department within the period from 1.10.12 to 31.12.14 and fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Standard surgical technique was used. Data were entered and subsequently analyzed on Herniamed platform. Results: There were 241 patients enrolled to the group of which 396 inguinal hernias were repaired. The minimal follow up was at 12 months. At the assessment in one...

Změny parametrů stoje a chůze u pacientů po plastice předního zkříženého vazu / Changes in stand and walking parameters in patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction

Lukešová, Kateřina January 2021 (has links)
This thesis is devoted to changes in selected gait and stance parameters in patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. In the introduction of this work, anatomy and biomechanics of the knee joint are described. Then the thesis deals with the anterior cruciate ligament injury issues, treatment options and associated risks. Last but not least, the possible influence of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction on sensorimotor and neuromuscular control of human movement and posture is discussed. In the second, experimental part of the work, the objectives of the work and hypotheses are set, then the measurement methodology and results are described. At the end of the work is a discussion, in which the results of this research are compared with current studies. The measurements took place at the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at the Motol University Hospital using the Zebris FDM-T System. A total of 36 probands took part in the measurement, 18 of them underwent anterior cruciate ligament plastic surgery on one lower limb and another 18 represented a control group without any injury or surgery on the lower limbs. The results did not show any statistically significant differences in selected parameters of standing and walking between the experimental and control groups,...

Lidová zbožnost pozdního středověku a novověku v odrazu hmotné kultury (na příkladu drobné keramické plastiky) / Folk religiosity during High Middle Ages and Early Modern times as reflected in material culture

Juřinová, Šárka January 2016 (has links)
Folk religiosity during High Middle Ages and Early Modern times as reflected in material culture (the example of small ceramic sculpture) This work focuses on study of religious practice and urban everyday life of urban folk groups in Prague Towns from High Middle Ages till Early Modern times. The most common archaeological artifacts reflecting religious practice are small clay figurines found both in urban and in rural environment. These figurines made of fired clay depict in most cases Madonna with Christ-child and various saints, nevertheless profane figurines and various zoomorphic artifacts can be found too. This work is focused mainly on findings of clay figurines obtained during the large archeological excavation on Republic Square in Prague, which offered a unique collection of artifacts dated from 1250 to 1600. Analogies from the Central Europe will be considered in the process of evaluation of the assemblage mentioned above. It is not known exactly what the purpose of these artifacts was and it is still a subject of discussion, into which we will try to bring some new light. Right iconographic interpretation requires a comparation with some other objects of folk religiosity and urban everyday life (such as medallions and other small holy objects, pilgrim signs, pilgrimage pictures,...

Pavel Pánek a české lisované sklo šedesátých a sedmdesátých let 20. století / PAVEL PÁNEK AND CZECH PRESSED GLASS OF THE SIXTIES AND SEVENTIES

Opěla, Jan January 2013 (has links)
Principal message of this thesis is to introduce designer Pavel Pánek putting him into proper historical context and to reveal some of his unpublished designs or sketches which are hidden to the eye of wider audience. First chapter is fully devoted to the concise history of technique of pressing glass and mention is made of so called pressing ring playing important role in it. One of the sections contains in brief Pavel Pánek's biography where some moments of crucial importance are underlined. Most important part is that, which provides with account of Pánek's works that I found either interesting or crucial for the development of pressed glass. At the beginning of the description of each piece brief description of used technology is added. I am striving to emphasize Pánek's inexhaustible inventiveness and knowledge of techniques that eventually gave rise to some of his best pieces ever. It appears that in some way Pánek was to a certain extent predestined to grow into a sculptor of great providence especially for the sake of his vocational education. Due to the fact Pánek's personality faces false accusation of plagiarism and theft of foreign invention nowadays I had to include apologetic chapter in it. At the end of the thesis I conclude that Pánek, embodied one of the most experimentally -...
