O objetivo geral da dissertação é comparar, incorporando aspectos de natureza política, o processo de industrialização latino-americano ao longo dos anos 1930, o qual teve repercussões distintas entre quatro países latino-americanos, quais sejam, Brasil, Argentina, Colômbia e México. Para tanto, é preciso necessariamente estudar a inter-relação entre a Política e a Economia na dinâmica do desenvolvimento capitalista desses países e a maneira pela qual os arranjos político-institucionais foram construídos nesse período, influenciando diferentes respostas à Grande Depressão (1929) e a um enraizamento diferenciado do processo de industrialização, o qual foi sustentado por distintas correlações de forças políticas. / The general objective of this thesis is to compare incorporating aspects of political nature the Latin American industrialisation process through the 1930’s, which had distinctives repercussions among four Latin American countries: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. For this purpose, it is necessary to study the inter-relationship between Politics and the Economy in the capitalist development dynamics of these countries and the way for which the politico-institutional arrangements were built during this period, influencing different answers to the Great Depression (1929) and to a differentiated embedment of the industrialisation process, which was sustained by distinct political forces correlations.
