This study aims to investigate how parents' behavior affect their children in all tennis situations from the tennis coach's perspective in Sweden. Previous studies, done in other countries, have shown that most tennis coaches believe that parents' behavior towards their children have, generally, a positive effect. However, coaches have also reported a considered problematic behavior of parents affecting their children negatively during tennis competitions. No previous studies have been done in Sweden about this subject. Five semi-structured interviews were conducted with five Swedish tennis coaches from different parts of the country. The results showed that Swedish tennis coaches understand that parental behavior in Sweden, mostly affect their children positively during most tennis situations, but that during competitions many juniors were negatively affected by their parents. As a conclusion, the results are in line with previous studies and parental behavior in Sweden, especially during a competition situation, could be more studied and improved.
