Compreender a natureza das relações entre Educação e Comunicação, a partir do conteúdo do Programa Escola Brasil (PEB) foi a proposta dessa pesquisa que analisou 45 edições do programa e 220 cartas de ouvintes enviadas durante o período de 06 de novembro de 2006 à 31 de maio de 2007. Nesse sentido, buscou-se verificar se o Programa Escola Brasil contribui para a formação de um sujeito crítico e emancipado frente às Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação(TICs). Patrocinado pela Secretaria de Educação a Distância do Ministério da Educação (SEED/MEC), o Programa Escola Brasil integra a sexta fase do rádio educativo caracterizada pela consolidação das rádios comunitárias e pelas mudanças tecnológicas que permitiram a chegada do rádio na internet e na era digital. O programa radiofônico com duração de 30 minutos é veiculado de segunda a sexta-feira às 20h pela Rádio Nacional de Brasília e Rádio Nacional da Amazônia e pelo satélite da Radiobrás, além de 100 emissoras parceiras em todo o país, .e tem por objetivo levar educação informal de qualidade aos ouvintes das regiões Norte, Nordeste Centro-Oeste. ________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / Since the emergence of radio, in 1923, that the Brazilian government has used this means of communication as a tool for the distance education. Understanding the nature of relations between Education and Communication, from the content of Brazil School Program was the proposal that the study examined 45 editions of the program and 220 letters from listeners sent during the period from 06 November 2006 to May 31, 2007. In this sense, sought to verify whether the Brazil School Program contributes to the formation of a critical person and emancipated front of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Sponsored by the Secretary of the Distance Education of the Ministry of Education (SEED / MEC), Brazil School Program integrates the sixth phase of the radio education characterized by consolidation of community radio stations and the technological changes that allowed the arrival of the radio on the Internet and the digital age. The radio program with duration of 30 minutes is run from Monday to Friday at 20h by the Radio Nacional de Brasília and Radio Nacional da Amazonia and the Radiobrás´ satellites, besides issuing of 100 partners across the country, and have the goal to lead the informal education with quality for listeners in the North, Northeast, and Central West from Brazil.
