This study investigated the relationship between Project Management Planning (PMP) practices and project success for preservation projects of historical significance located in an urban context. The planning for these projects was also emphasized because these historic buildings are recognized by the National Register of Historic Places. Yet, when analyzing the performance metrics of these historically significant renovation projects that included budget and time after the project has been completed denote problems in the management and delivery of these projects. The project team members' perceptions of PMP practices and how these practices affect project success were the focus of this research. To ascertain the importance of these questions, the study incorporated three major bodies of knowledge. The first body of literature focused on project management practices associated with project success. The second concentrated on historic preservation with a focus on historic significance and project planning. The third body centered on facility management as it relates to project management issues in the delivery of a construction project. Combining these bodies of knowledge into one literature review contributed to the development of a conceptual model to illustrate how the research variables and hypotheses were established. To test the research questions and its hypothesis, three statistical tools were used: analysis of variance (ANOVA), descriptive data analysis, and ordinary least square regression. The conclusions from these tests indicated that differences in perceptions of success criteria existed between the project team members. The findings also indicated a significant disconnect between the perceptions of project success and actual performance of project delivery. Furthermore, the findings indicated that only a few project management practices tested were perceived to have significant correlation with project success. The project team members felt that the success criteria of performance and the success factors associated with performance -- site analysis, site layout and staging, and a quality assurance plan -- were more important to the success of the renovation project than many of the management practices in this study.

The aim of the thesis was to analyze the selected project management company, including a review of the objectives of the strategy. Market environment has been investigated and followed the SWOT analysis, from which I draw the appropriate consequences. The result landed proposed solution in the form of an investment plan. The development of a Project Management Plan that defines the philosophy of the investment project, an integral part of the timetable for the progress of work and cost analysis jendotlivých divided into development phases of the project.

Main goal of this paper is to define a solution for employee training and development programs. The goal is accomplished through formulating of project management plan and specifications of requirements and software architecture.

This thesis handles the issue of Project Management, especially formation and structuring of the plan of project control (Project Management Plan). Formation of the Project Management Plan is one of the activities, which is performed by project manager in cooperation with customer in the first phase of project life cycle. The content of this thesis is a proposal of optimised structure of Project Management Plan with predefined description and extent of individual parts (chapters). In addition, there are different methodologies and their comparison described in this thesis, which are usually used in Project Management. These are PMBOK, Prince2, ČSN ISO 10006 and the project methodology of Siemens, which is called Chestra. These methodologies form the base for a newly formed structure of Project Management Plan. In the supplement of this thesis, there is a template of the document Project Management Plan, with which a project manager is able to form a new management plan of particular project easily. This template was created on the basis of particular project analysis within the scope and work of Siemens IT Solutions and Services Company and reflects not only theoretical knowledge, but also the needs of the particular company.

This Thesis looks at the current situation in the UNICORN a.s. company and analyses how the projects are managed in the company. The Thesis suggests recommendation for improvements in this field according to ČSN ISO 10 006 Quality Management Systems - Guidelines for quality management in projects.
