Atotolio šeimų vaikai patiria įvairių psichosocialinių problemų: nerimas, baimė, vienišumas bei liūdesys dažniausi šių vaikų jausmai. Tėvų ar vieno jų išvykimas sutrikdo vaiko socializacijos procesą. Atotolio šeimų vaikai gyvena turėdami ribotas galimybes stebėti tėvų tarpusavio santykius, mokytis problemų sprendimo, emocijų valdymo, perimti socialinius vaidmenis tuo pagrindu plėtoti socialines patirtis, anksti tenka pradėti rūpintis savo buitimi. Psichosocialinė pagalba padėtų šiems vaikams lengviau išgyventi tėvų emigraciją ir emigracijos pasekmes. / Children in transnational families experience various psychosocial problems: anxiety, fear, loneliness and sorrow are the most frequent feelings which these children have. Socialization process of a child is disrupted by migration of both parents or one of them. Children of transnational families live having limited possibilities to observe the relationship between their parents, to learn how to solve problems, to deal with emotional control, to take over social roles and on this background to develop their social experiences. Instead, they start taking care of their everyday life themselves quite early. Psychosocial support could help these children to overcome their parents emigration and emigration consequences easier.
